Woman Chases Husband with Car, Arrested
OAKLAND (UP)—Mrs. Edith Ray was accused today of assaulting her husband with the family car as climax to a Sunday morning argument. A policeman rushing to the scene was killed in a collision.
Police said Mrs. Ray let her husband, George, out near the dairy where he works, wheeled their auto around, chased him onto the sidewalk, and whacked him with the bumper. Ray sailed 15 feet into a parked car, suffering cuts, bruises and a fractured leg.
Then, police said, Mrs. Ray banged the car into a telephone pole. Officers said they found her sitting in the car, dazed but suffering only facial cuts. She is 29, her husband 30.
Robert A. Farrou, 18, was held for investigation of manslaughter after his car collided with a police car driven by patrolman Eugene M. Oneto, 28. The officer, speeding to the scene of the Ray affray with siren screaming and red lights flashing, was hurled out of the car onto the pavement. He died at a hospital.
Mrs. Ray was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, driving on the wrong side of the street, speeding, violating a pedestrian's right-of-way, and driving with an expired license.

Reserve Corps To Hear Lecture On Air Techniques
The role played by air power in support of the United Nations Ground Forces in Korea will be the subject of a two-hour illustrated discussion presented for members of the Organized Reserve Corps at 1012 N. Main st., Santa Ana, Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. All members of the Army, Air Corps, Naval and Marine reserves are invited to attend this lecture which will be led by Captain Llewellyn H. Farden and First Lt. Harold R. Drimilla.
The two officers are from one of 12 teams currently touring the eight states of the Sixth Army Area as part of a program designed to inform members of the ORC on military operations, techniques, weapons and tactics employed against the enemy in Korea.
Combat Films Scheduled
In their discussion Captain Farden and Lt. Drimilla will describe the employment of close-support aircraft in Korea and show combat films of air strikes. The development of the present air-ground control system in Korea will be traced from its beginning in July, 1950, to the present. The speakers will explain how a front-line unit commander obtains close air support as well as how targets are best dealt with by aircraft. Also described will be the planes and armament used for tactical air support and the reasons why jets are replacing piston-engined aircraft.
WW II Vets
A veteran of combat in Europe with the 80th Infantry Division (Blue Ridge) in World War II, Captain Farden served as a field artillery forward observer and liaison officer. He is familiar with the role played by air power in close support of ground troops.
Lieutenant Drimilla was recently recalled to active duty. He served with the Signal Corps in WW II in the Aleutian Islands and other points in the North Atlantic.

Three boys and three girls were born to Anaheim families: Earl Harvey, Robert Morrison and Edward Strong became proud papas of baby girls. Boys lessed the homes of Lloyd Henry, Charles Linetman and Paul Nunez.
George McDonald, 58; Mrs Jessie Woods, 56; and Peter Marron, 76, passed to their eternal reward last week, while marriage licenses were issued to Trinidad Vasquez and Ascenclon Ledesma; days is rain—but even that'll soak you.
