Norway Accused Of Hypocrisy By Russian Writers MOSCOW (UP) — Russia again has formally accused Norway of desecrating Soviet soldiers’ graves by moving their bodies from old to new graves on the island of Tjøetta, off the northern Norwegian coast. Every morning paper in Moscow published the text of a very sharp Russian note to Norway this morning. The Russian note, delivered to the Norwegian embassy, “insisted” that Norwegian authorities stop removal of the bodies. An embassy spokesman said the note was “quite sharp” and that the Russians demanded a quick answer. Russian soldiers were killed on the island in battles against the Germans. The Soviet Union sent a note a month ago calling removal of the bodies “an unfriendly act.” Norway replied that the Russians had been misled by articles in Norwegian newspapers, and offered join a Russo-Norwegian commission to look into the matter. The new notes asserted there no real reason for moving the bodies and accused the Norwegian of “hypocrisy.” Trade in Your Old Range on this new O'KEEFE & MERRITT Gas Range $169.50 on this new O'KEEFE & MERRITT Gas Range $169.50 NO MONEY DOWN If you have a trade-in and its value is equal to the required amount... your payment would be. $9.15 monthly This is an O'Keefe & Merritt THOUGHTFUL DESIGN! ... medium in price, but providing deluxe cooking ... hinged cooking top, smokeless broiler with chrome grill, and many other features women want in a range. * Price of Model 499; Model pictured is 600LC.
