3 Anaheim Gazette MONDAY, OCTOBER 21 ANAHEIM, CALIFO MASQUERADING CONGREGATION from the Church of Christ, located at Olive and Sycamore sts., made ready for Hallowe'en Friday when church members and guests dressed for an evening of "Who's Who." Fuchsia Society Meets Tomorrow Regular meeting of the Orange County Branch of the National Fuchsia Society will be held tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the local American Legion hall at 936 Lemon st. Program will be highlighted by the speaker, Worley Hendrix who will speak on the subject, "Glox- Birthday Party for Emilie M. Robertson Chocolate cake and orange sherbet set a Hallowe'en color scheme for the party celebrated by Emilie Mae Robertson Saturday on her eighth birthday. Setting for the festive occasion was the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Robertson, 125 N. Janss st. Door prizes will be given. All members are urged to bring a guest as well as a plant. The Sunshine & Shower Club changed their regular monthly potluck dinner for husbands and friends from Saturday to Friday night, Oct. 26. Center, An "RECOLLECTION Ebell Club Stages First Party of Season With Fashion Show at Clubhouse In the artistic hands of Mrs. Milton Sells, Anaheim Ebell club was cleverly decorated Saturday afternoon for the club's annual fashion show and tea. Placques of models dressed in a variety of current fashions were arranged in the paneled walls in keeping with the mood of the afternoon. Large arrangements of autumn chrysanthemums and gladiolus decorated the tea tables. More than 225 women saw the fall showings by the S.Q.R. Store under the direction of Martha Schumacher. Included in the presentation, which started with lingerie, were sportswear, suits, street dresses, cocktail ensembles and formalms. Furs were presented by Olive Duling of Santa Ana. Narrator, Miss Rita Corey, formerly of Bullocks Wilshire, is now fashion coordinator for Bullocks Westwood. During intermission dance selections were presented by Betty Jean Murrey and Patty Menes. Dainty sandwiches, cakes, coffee and tea were served at the tea tables where Mrs. W.E. Whiteman, president of Anaheim Ebell, Mrs. Charles Bush, Mrs. Lloyd Ross and Mrs. Paul Gilbert poured. Responsible for the successful affair were Mrs. Roy Copeland, general chairman; Mrs. Milford Johnson, refreshment, chairman; Mrs. Wayne Reafsnyder, prizes; and Mrs. Lee Symonds, tickets. Mrs. Whiteman welcomed the guests. Fullerton JC Frosh Elect Officers In what turned out to be the closest class election in several years at Fullerton junior college, the members of the Freshman Class chose the five persons who will lead them for the 19th school year at the pool Wednesday, Oct. 24. President of the class of '53 is John Dees, formerly of Excellent high school, who won over his opponents Fred Lucente and Enoch Peterson. Jo Kempt was chosen vice-president by her classmates over Bill Rhodes. Jo is from El Monte. Closest race in the Frosh elections was between Mark Hepp and Mario Ferrente for the office of secretary. Mark Hepp, resident of Garden Grove from St. Anthony's high school, was the winner by a narrow margin. Mary Lerchey was chosen as class penny-counter over her opponent Les Doyle. The office of social chairman will be filled by Jim Ball, of Anaheim, who is also yell leaders. Jim received the majority of votes over several write-in candidates. Johnny Mercer was chosen vice president by a narrow margin over her opponent, Doug Kirkbyer. Class secretary is Betty Lou Blattman. Connie Woods will watch the budget in her role of sophomore treasurer. Social affairs will be under the guidance of Sam Begoshlan. Well known for his many appearances on the Jaycee stage and in forensic competition, Krueger was also an active competitor in last year's ASB presidential race. The Senior Live Y'rs held a "Popcorn Pep Meeting." Each member who contributed an idea got a handful of popcorn. Mrs. A. D. Smith spoke to the Junior YQT's on "What the Y Means to Me." This club plans to sponsor a booth at the Hallowe'en parade at which cake and hot dogs will be sold. The Sophomore Zl-Chi-Phi Tri-Hi-Y's made pom-poms. The other clubs meeting and planning for Hallowe'en and leaders conference were the Sophmore B-Y's, Sophomore 'ar-Y-Femini Tri-Hi-Y, the Junior Tri-U's, and the two Freshmen clubs who have not as yet chosen names. NE YEAR OLD YESTERDAY. Master Raymond Masciel celebrated his birthday surrounded by friends and presents, one of which was a doll about 2 sizes larger than he. They are among the 6700 students enrolled in California's best publicly-supported college. Enrollment at San Jose is about 100 less than it was last Fall, but 500 higher than the number attending during the 1951 Spring quarter. Anaheim students at San Jose State College are: Mary L.
