Property Taxes in County Are Tripled
Property tax bill in Orange county has more than trebled in the ten years fiscal 1942 through fiscal 1951, the association said.
Total property tax levy in the county for fiscal 1942 was $6,945,-051. By fiscal 1951 it had mounted to $21,159,447; up 205 per cent. Levies for the county and the cities, school districts, and special districts in the county are included.
Tax levy for county purposes went from $1,721,840 in fiscal 1942 to $5,524,691 in 1951.
City levies on property went from $1,632,477 for 1942 to $3,315,-014 for 1951. Levy for school districts went from $2,921,197 in 1942 to $9,810,117.
Special district levies in the county went from $669,537 for 1941-42 to $2,509,625 for 1950-51.
Agriculture is the basic industry in Yugoslavia.
