The Orange Administrative committee cast a 5-5 vote resulting in the issue being tabled for further consideration. Meanwhile, that particular size in the eastern markets continued on the dbwngrade, pricewise, according to Joe Imhof, general sales manager for M.O.D. Friday's auction average on 344's was $3.31 per box delivered — "definitely less than the cost of production and splashing red ink left and right," Imhof declared. "This alone is sufficient cause for alarm," Imhof said, "but its effect on other sizes is even more to be considered. Bulk of the crop from Southern California is running to size 288, bringing $3.61, and 252's $3.95 delivered east." O.A.C. figures for the week ending May 26, shows the equivalent of 54 carloads of 344's being shipped from the state. "Just how long can the industry afford this rugged individualism on the part of some segments of the industry and still survive?" Imhof asked. Fullerton Seniors Leave Stone Seat Seniors at Fullerton union high school who graduate Thursday, June 14, will leave as their gift to the school a large circled seat of flagstone around the big Oak tree in the "bull ring," patio meeting place on the Indian campus, it was announced recently by President Randall Egertson. The new seat will be similar to others around smaller trees in the area and of the same stone. The class of 1950 left a drinking fountain of flagstone last year and "senior corner" is constructed of the same material. Funds to cover cost of the new circle seat will come from money left in the graduating class treasury, Egertson said. Work on the new project is to begin this summer.
