DIDN'T WANT TO ROB IT INDIANAPOLIS (UP)—Wilbur Dougherty, whose 17 years in prison taught him respect for federal laws, went back to prison today for robbing a postoffice he tried not to rob. The 28-year-old Indianapolis man had pleaded guilty to the holdup last Nov. 11 of a drygoods store containing a postal substation. District Attorney Matthew Welsh told Federal Judge William E. Steckler yesterday that in staging the hold-up Dougherty told proprietor Albert George he wanted no postal receipts. But a checkup showed his loot included $8 belonging to Uncle Sam, and Judge Steckler gave him a mandatory 25-year term for armed postoffice robbery.
