Daytime activities were brought to a close at an afternoon beach party in which the entire student body participated. In the evening, the Prince and Queen, led the procession to the bandstand where Cruz Reynoso, president of the FJC student body, crowned Miss Robertson with a wreath of flowers. Her ceremonial escort was Don Fre vert, vice-president of FJC. Tex Thomas was escorted by social chairman, Carol Rich. Sophomore and freshman class presidents, Bob Curl and Frank Mortenson, each carried white satin pillows on which rested two gold loving cups, which were presented to the ruling pair. Women in Jobs Jumps in State SACRAMENTO (AP)—A "terrific increase" in the number of women employed in California was reported today by State Industrial Relations Director Paul Scharrenberg. He said there are 1,292,000 women at work in the state, a 97 percent increase. The national increase is 64 per cent. Scharrenberg also noted that 112 companies have requested permits for women employees to work more than eight hours a day under a new war emergency law.
