Anaheim's La Palma park features a unique setting of towering palm trees, a casting pool used by juveniles for model boat sailing, and fishing with barbless hooks. It is the location of La Palma Stadium, the spring training grounds of baseball teams.
Municipal operation of water and electric plants, together with a careful, conservative civic administration, account for an unusually low tax rate. Our municipal water is now supplemented by the Metropolitan Water Aqueduct, which also serves the city of Los Angeles.

Mutual Citrus Believes in Progress
(Continued from Page 36)
ered form: MCP Powdered Concentrated Orangeade and MCP Powdered Concentrated Lemonade.
Due to the higher revenue outlets for juice developed by MCP, lemons, which 20 years ago sold for about $10 a ton, now sell for $95 per ton on the average.
The people who are largely responsible for this production feat are the three incorporating officers of the company, 61 year old president, H. T. Leo; 48 year old secretary-treasurer, Clarence C. Taylor; and 54 year old vice-president, Fred A. Beck.
All three were graduated from college as chemists. They combined their aptitudes to make Mutual Citrus Products company one of the foremost champions of the citrus industry.
This year, in addition to the regular products of MCP, they will offer a full line of frozen citrus items. They also will supply frozen concentrates in gallon tins to the manufacturing trade. Estimates show that about 60 per cent of MCP production of frozen items will be in retail size packages of which about 40 per cent will be under the MCP brand.
During 1940 the company became convinced that the time was approaching when citrus fruits could be profitably grown for the express purpose of making juice.
On that theory the company began developing and planting citrus acreage near Somerton, Arizona. Progress has been curtailed due to the square footage constraints.

Progress has been curtailed due to the severe cold temperatures in that region during the past three years, but the project is being continued.
