Rhineh, Pearl Huddleston, Andrew K manaker, Stella Thaxton DOUBLE RING SERVICES last night united two prominent Anaheim families when Jean Ann Allen became bride of Allan Wisser. Jean Ann Allen-Allan Wisser Wed in Candlelight Services at Calvary Baptist Blue delphinium and white gladiolus, illuminated by candlelight, decorated the altar of Calvary Baptist church last night for impressive double ring services which united Miss Jean Ann Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Allen and Allan Wisser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Wisser of 126 N. Helena st. Gowned in exquisite chantilly lace, the bride was given in marriage by her father. The skirt of the bride's gown was cut in ballerina style, the fullness falling from a fitted strapless bodice. A long sleeved lace bolero completed the ensemble. Her fingertip veil was edged in lace and she carried a single white orchid on a white prayer book. Maid of honor and her only attendant was Miss Joan Allen, her sister, who wore a ballerina length gown in beige iridescent taffeta. Edwin Wisser, the bridegroom's brother, was best man and ushers were Howard Harvey and Louis Daniels. Virginia Burke was organist. Seventy five guests attended the reception where Mrs. Lewis Daniels and Mrs. Nolan Bolinger assisted in serving the decorated wedding cake. Janet Connor took charge of the guest book. Both Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Wisser chose navy blue crepe dresses with corsages of pink rosebuds. The new Mrs. Wisser was graduated from Anaheim high school. Her husband was also graduated from local schools and is in business with his father. They will reside at 323 S. Citron st., on return from a honeymoon trip. Shower Honors Stoner Employees Mrs. A. H. Strempel of 7512 Lincoln ave., entertained 21 co-workers from the Stoner Rubber company in Stanton at a miscellaneous shower, Thursday evening for Miss Janice Richardson, who will marry James Hoff in Huntington Beach, where they both reside, on Saturday evening. The other co-worker sharing honors and gifts was Miss Elizabeth Faler of Westminster who will also be married Saturday night to Walter "Gene" Haley of Berkeley, an employee of the plant. Individual cakes dressed with parasols to match those on the nut cups in a pink and white motif, ice cream and coffee were served. At a dancing party at Goodman's hall, Saturday night, 65 employees and guests from the Stoner Rubber company gifted the two couples to be married Saturday and Mr. and Mrs. George Bellis of Midway City, who were married Feb. 14. Mothers Honored By Junior WSWS Honoring their mothers, members of the Junior WSWS of Evangelical United Brethern church enjoyed a dinner party at Ruby's Fullerton this week. Tables, decorated in spring orns, were centered with large flowers with smaller individual fans and figurines carrying out the motions Mrs. Charles Pannier was charged of decorations and corsage. Miss Anna Claire Mauerhahn president, introduced Mrs. Alba Brubaker who welcomed guests. Mrs. Ellie Rundstrom sponded on behalf of the mother. Mrs. Darwin Stockwell, Ms Clarence Mauerhan and Ms Floyd Stockwell honored the mothers with a group of songs. Mrs. Logan Wheatley of Fullerton was guest speaker for the evening. The Mortague Choral Festival Program Announced, Dr. Charles Hirt to Direct 400 Voices Second annual Orange county Choral Conductor's Guild Festival will be held in the Fullerton high school auditorium, Sunday afternoon, May 6, at 5 o'clock, with 400 voices selected from the combined church choirs of the county, singing under the outstanding leadership of Dr. Charles C. Hirt, director of choral organizations at the University of The first group will with St. Francis of Assisi's hymn, "All Creatures of Our Lord," set to the melody a German hymn. In the second group are Joseph Clokey's Lord is My Shepherd" and Mr. elssohn's "Lift Thine Eyes," latter being sung by the women of the chorus. The Mortagues were married April 23, 1927, in Medford, Mass. Their daughter, Mrs. Thomas Roach, now resides in that city. When The Rubber Corporation of California built their new factory in Garden Grove, Mortague came from the eastern factory as an official in the new plant. Second annual Orange county Choral Conductor's Guild Festival will be held in the Fullerton high school auditorium, Sunday afternoon, May 6, at 5 o'clock, with 400 voices selected from the combined church choirs of the county, singing under the outstanding leadership of Dr. Charles C. Hirt, director of choral organizations at the University of Southern California. The program, which traces the development of sacred choral music during the past 250 years, begins with "Rejoice In the Lord Alway," Henry Purcell and "Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs," Antonio Lotti, representing the early English and Italian schools. The first group will wish to St. Francis of Assisi's hymn, "All Creatures of Our Creation and King," set to the melody of a German hymn. In the second group are Joseph Clokey's hymn "Lord is My Shepherd" and Melsohn's "Lift Thine Eyes." latter being sung by the work of the chorus. Mr. Clokey was merely on the faculty of Port College. Concluding this group the hymn "Praise the Lord Heavens Adore Him." The remaining numbers to be presented are: "Now Let Eden Tongue," Bach, to be sung by Men's Chorus, "Let Thy Presence," Tschesnokoff; "Lovely is Thy Dwelling Prayer from Brahms' 'A German Queen' and the hymns 'Joy Lover of My Soul' and 'Mighty Fortress is Our God.'" The public is cordially invited to attend this inspirational musical event. An offering will received. Miss Berriman is a graduate of Orange High school and is now attending Fullerton Junior college where she is a member of Alpha Gamma Sigma honor society and Kappa Lambda Sigma sorority. Her fiance is a graduate of Anaheim high school and attended Fullerton junior college before his enlistment. On completion of his basic training he will attend the Naval School of Music in Washington, D.C. The Workman's Class of the Stanton Community church were hosts to the young married people of the Mexican church, 10851 Central ave., at a combined pot-luck enchillada dinner for 28 guests. Rev. Charles White led the devotional and Rev. John Perez presented his Mexican choir with Miss Irene Garcia as pianist. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Elliott, 522 S. Palm st., announce the birth of a five pound, nine and a half ounce daughter, born at Orange county hospital, April 30. Personal Mention Recovering at home following recent surgery at St. Joseph and Anaheim community hospitals respectively are Mrs. Ralph Emmerson, 214 S. Walnut and Mrs. W. R. Hadley, 13252 Orangethrope, Mrs. Emmerson is a J. C. Penney employee and Mrs. Hadley, wife of the owner of Hadley's bakery. Spending Wednesday touring about the rocky country near Perris were Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Coulter, 554 S. Citron and their sons, Darryl, 6 and Dale, 8. Anaheim looked good to them when they got home. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Leigh and family will be guests of his mother; Mrs. Ada Leigh, 614 S. Clementine, this coming week-end. Floyd Leigh is principal of Ohanga elementary school in Carstaga, Calif.
