Anderson, are visiting the elder Andersons in this city and are also spending part of their visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Anderson of Long Beach. Yellow and lavender decorations were used at the party with a huge Easter rabbit in those colors presiding over the festive table. Ice cream, cake and punch were served. Susan Benbrooks Named Thimble Club Treasurer Lois Rebekah Thimble club met with Vivian Walte Tuesday evening in her home, 209 N. Helena st. Thirty-one members and one guest, Mrs. Barnum, attended. During the business meeting Susan Benbrooks was appointed treasurer in the vacancy left by Elsie Borth, recently deceased. The auxiliary was formed in March 1921. Pan-American night was also observed with a delicious Spanish dinner preceding the business meeting. This enjoyable part of the evening was in charge of Josephine Fulfer and her committee. Tables were arranged diagonally around the room, each decorated in a Mexican theme with gay colored tableclothes and red and yellow candles in bottle holders. Past presidents were honored and each received a dainty handkerchief corsage. They were presented to Yuarda Akerman, Nora Dodge Clark, Jean Gaddis, Minnie Squire, Betty Liebhart, Hazel Roakes, Gene Marvin, Elvamae Jones, Audrey Starr, Helen Betz-sold, Peggy Boysen, Josephine Fulfer, Harriet Boyd, Nadine Klapper, Florence Smith and the present president, Lucile Johnson. After dinner Louise Helsing presented a program of colored slides on a trip she made to Mexico City and Guatemala a year ago. Maud Knoch reported on the special district meeting held in Orange on March 6 and a report of the county council meeting at Brea on March 13 was given by Nadine Klapper. Mrs. Mary Betz-sold was accompanied by two commander of Women's Department of California International. Also present was Margaret Zwielener, president of Brea Auxiliary and 21st district Pan-American chairman. Announcement was made of the next district meeting to be held in Palm Springs on April 15. 60 members were in attendance at the Tuesday meeting held in the Legion clubhouse. Plan Guest Night At Friendship Meet Friendship circle of Grace Lutheran church met Tuesday evening at the church with Mrs. B. Ter Becest and Mrs. A. Stovall as co-hostesses. Devotions were led by Mrs. Walter Fluegge, after which a short business meeting was conducted by the president, Mrs. Boyd Johnson. AUHS Cadets Score In State Shooting Anaheim high school Cadet Corps made their fourth annual trip to Sacramento for the state finals rifle match, March 16 and 17. The first match fired was the Clausen Trophy Match, which consisted of a ten man team. Anaheim took a close second, with Placer, a combined high school and junior college, taking first with a score of 1778. Anaheim's team came in second with a score of 1724. They will County Crashes Injure Five Today Five persons were injured in Orange county traffic accidents early today, according to the reports of the California Highway patrol. William Savage, 18, San Pedro, received major injuries and his three companions, Carl Woodson, 18, San Pedro, Valerie Huston, 17, Fullerton and Connie Jones, 19, La Habra, were less than seriously hurt when a car driven by Woodson ran off the road and hit a power pole on Main st., a mile south of Santa Ana at 1:10 a.m., today. Earl McPherson, 26, Camp Pendleton Marine, fell asleep at the wheel of his car which struck the bridge across Aliso creek on the Coast highway below South Laguna at 3:55 a.m., today.
