THAT KID HAS THE MENTALITY OF A MUCH OLDER PERSON! heim Gazette WEDNESDAY, MARCH 21, 1951 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Mrs. McKelvey Passes in LA Mrs. Zurie Vary McKelvey, 59, died yesterday at the French hospital in Los Angeles, after undergoing a six-hour operation a week ago Monday. She was born in Louisburg, Tennessee and has been a resident of Anaheim since 1915, living at 520 S. Dickel. Surviving her are her husband, Henry O McKelvey; one son, Gall Vary and one grandson, Donald Gall Vary. She was a member of the Presbyterian church. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m., at the chapel of Backs Campbell and Kaulbars. Dav Stanley F. George, former Archim pastor will officiate. Funktion will be in Loma Vista. State Income up, Expenses Down SARCAMENTO UP—Income, up 10 percent; expenses up 2½ per cent. Coordinator Thomas Kuchel gave that bright sizeup of state finances today compared with conditions a year ago. State revenues for the first eight months of the bookkeeping year ending next June 30 totaled $414,274,579. The amount for the same period of 1949-50 was $382,000,481. Kuchel reported a cash excess of $60,521,112 in the treasury as of March 1. This is not all surplus, Co. HS Seniors To Tour SAC Beginning April 8 members of the Black Knights and Las Doncellas, Santa Ana College honorary service clubs, will escort visiting high school seniors to various departments on the campus and act as official hosts. It is estimated that more than 200 seniors from Anaheim, Laguna Beach, Tustin, Orange and Garden Grove high schools will tour the campus during April. Doughnuts and coffee will be served to the seniors when they first arrive. A free luncheon will be served before they leave for their high school campuses. The purpose of the visits is to acquaint students with college offerings.
