Hadacol King Believed in Product And Advertising - Created a Winner
Senator Dudley J. LeBlanc, the Hadacol medicine king who has built a multi-million dollar business on testimonial advertising gave his own first testimonial this week and it concerned Anaheim Gazette advertising.
Here is what the senator had to say:
"Three years ago I was broke. All I had was a very meritorious product—Hadacol, and many outstanding testimonials. I had heard about the advantages of newspaper advertising but only had $2500 to spend. I went to 10 newspapers and paid them for 10 days advertising if they would credit me for another 20 days. Within 90 days my volume was running at the rate of more than $250,000 per year.
Among the first newspapers used was the Anaheim Gazette. I have used 9013 lines of advertising space in the Anaheim Gazette since last fall and consider it one of the most important papers that carries the Hadacol message of millions. The Anaheim Gazette reaches all classes of our customers at a minimum line cost. I want to thank the Anaheim Gazette for what it has done for Dudley LeBlanc and Hadacol. I plan to continue using the Anaheim Gazette advertising."
Senator LeBlanc has built his great business in less than three years. He now operates two great Hadacol plants in Lafayette, La., and is opening a new one in Claremont, Calif. Hadacol is now merchandised in 27 states and being extended to other parts of the nation as supplies become available. More than 300 foreign countries have requested supplies of the now famous Hadacol plant.
ALUMINUM PLANT
PLANNED IN BORNEO
SINGAPORE (P) — The British Aluminum co., of London, planning a $33,000,000 project for the construction of a giant aluminum plant in British Norfolk.
The proposed plant, which will be the largest in the Far East will process bauxite mined in Rhio Archipelago, a few miles Singapore. A river in Borneo will be dammed to provide power for the plant.
THIEF'S THEFT PRECAUTION DELAY ESCAPE
LONG BEACH (P) — A thief ruined his own getaway plans by locking himself out his car.
Mrs. Jesse R. Fuentes told officers that a tall man knocked down and snatched her purse when she stepped from a bus. She said he ran to an auto parked nearby fumbled at the door hand searched in his pockets then ran away. Police identified the car stolen property.
