Fletcher, right hander traded to San Francisco by Seattle, has shown no desire to sign a contract with the Seals. He is variously reported to be (1) holding out for more money or (2) to be traded to Sacramento, his home town.
The San Francisco Coast league baseball club dropped option from the New York Yankees of outfielder Elston Howard and catcher Vic Mastro. Manager Jo Orengo said the army is about to exercise its option on Howard Mastro, a Los Angeles ball boy broker, has shown no interest in San Francisco.
Orengo said the Seals won't play any more pre-season night games. It's too cold.

HOLLYWOOD UP—A team of big league all-stars and the Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast league collided for charity yesterday and the majors' team, aided by two tremendous homers off the bat of Gus Zernial, eked out 4-3 win.
A crowd of 12,155 fans attended and approximately $20,000 was raised for the benefit of cripple children in the game, sponsored by Kiwanis.
