HEART ASSOCIATION SEAL OF APPROVAL The official seal of approval of the Los Angeles Heart association has been awarded to Puritas drinking water, it is announced by Jack Spears, executive secretary of the association. This seal signifies that Puritas, a distilled water, is an approved drinking water for use in low-sodium diets recommended for persons with heart ailments. The objective of the Los Angeles Heart association, as well as that of the State and National Heart associations, is to prevent or control the incidence of heart diseases by research, education and community service. The significance of this movement is illustrated by the fact that one out of every three Americans dies from some form of heart disease and the annual cardiac fatalities exceed those from the next nine causes combined.
