Lady Lions to Hold Blood Bank Feb. 23 The Lady Lions who are sponsoring a blood bank for the Stanton area, Feb. 23, announced that the official date for employees of the Kwikset Lock, Inc., to give blood coincides. It has been decided that the Anaheim branch of the American National Red Cross will hold the blood bank for both organizations at the Kwikset plant on that day. Kwikset donors will be taken from 1 to 3 p.m., and the Stanton group from 3 to 6 o'clock, at 516 E. Santa Ana, Anaheim. Public card party, sponsored by the Women's Relief Corp. will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the IOOF hall. A dessert lunch con will be served. AND CLASS TIME — Eighth-grade metal shop classes are making tin cups, calipers and rings. The seventh-grade wood shop classes are making broom holders. Thursday the seventh-grade cooking classes were shown a movie entitled "This Gracious Heritage"—put out by the Gorham Silver Co. It was about correct table manners and how silver is made. Today all the seventh-grade science students saw a film entitled "The Spider and Its Related Insects." Science and sewing exhibits are being shown in the exhibition cases in the front hall of the Fremont building. Principal Wilbur Bonney was absent from school last Monday because of illness. Mrs. Mary Fitz substituted for him. JUNIOR SPORTS WORLD — El Modena was defeated by the Fremont A's last Thursday night at the Huntington Beach basketball tournament by a score of 39-21. The B's won 33-21 the same night. A winning duo, they scored again Friday night in overtimes to beat Brea 33-32 for the A's and Newport Beach 29-25 in favor of the B's. Fremont P-TA to Again Sponsor Carnival Here South America will be featured at a meeting of Fremont P-TA Tuesday when Mrs. J. Lee Rogers addresses the organization on her recent trip to that country. Lee Rogers addresses the organization on her recent trip to that country. With her will be Adah Louise Wilcox. Plans for the meeting were made at a meeting of the executive board this week with Mrs. George Kohlenberger presiding. Past presidents will be honored and special music will be offered by the Mozart choir from Anaheim high school. Financial report on the recent father-son banquet showed a profit for the P-TA. Mrs. Mary Hunt, recreation chairman, reported that the next social dancing class would meet Feb. 22 and stated that attendance is good. Mrs. William Rickel and Mrs. M. L. Fort were appointed to the nominating committee. Report was also issued on first aid classes to be held each Tuesday night at the high school. Plans were outlined by the ways and means committee chairman, Mrs. August Fitz on the carnival to be sponsored by Fremont P-TA as their money making project for the year. The event has not taken place for a number of years and the membership expressed hope that the people of Anaheim would make it a success. It will be held on April 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the school, Games, food booths, plant and flower booths and soft drink stands will be featured. Miss Domeries is a senior at Anaheim Union high school and is a member of the Commercial club. Her fiancee attended Anaheim high and is a veteran of World War II, having served as a sergeant in the Air Corps. He is now employed at Kwikset Locks. No date has been set for the wedding. Stuffed celery makes a wonderful first course for a company dinner when it's stuffed and served on watercress. For the stuffing use cream cheese blended with Roquefort. Personal Mention Two section meetings are slated for Ebell club Monday. Bible section will meet at 2 p.m. with Mr. H. W. Baker as speaker. Program chairman Mrs. Arthur Hartelt has scheduled "Pharoah's Daughter" as third in the series of Women of the Bible. Tessella section will meet at 7:45 for bridge and refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Tobert-Hutain, 11342 Romneya dr., are parents of a daughter, born at noon Wednesday in Fullerton General hospital. Charles Hutain of 846 N.
