TIES, NOT TICKETS, FOR TRAFFIC ERRORS—Hyman Sacrs of Bronx, N. Y., gets his "ticket" in form of tie from Traffic Officer George Dabney here yesterday. In a unique campaign to stress traffic safety, errant motorists were handed neckties instead of conventional traffic tickets for minor traffic violations. The neckties are emblazoned with stop signs, red and green traffic lights, speed limit signs and other conventional highway markers. The city's police chief said that motorists would be discouraged from trying to violate the traffic laws just to get a tie. (Associated Press Wirephoto.)

It now owns a plant covering approximately 125,000 square feet in Lynwood, California, where it manufactures Grayson controls used extensively in domestic home appliances.
The Grayson controls division plant has recently been enlarged and currently employs approximately 900 people.
The new plant in Anaheim, when the first unit is completed, will employ 300 to 400 persons and when the entire project is completed is expected to employ over 2000.
Thomas T. Arden, executive vice-president of the corporation, stated that E. W. Moeller of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, the City of Anaheim, and Medaris Realty, were most co-operative in assisting with the details incident to locating the new plant near Anaheim.
Arden further stated that the company will construct a substantial building of re-inforced concrete with unusual window area and modern architectural lines. The two story lobby of the office building will be faced with Arizona flagstone.
The tract, presently an orange grove, will be landscaped to leave many trees standing to screen the large paved employees parking area and the working "back yard" at the plant.
Manufacturing will consist of light high-speed machining, assembling and testing operations, a number of which can be successfully performed by women.
This will be the 25th industry to be located in Anaheim since World War II, according to a re-

Republicans squabbled among themselves over foreign policy and "me-toolism" today but generally agreed there are still "pinkos" in the government. They all called for budget cuts.
In Lincoln Day political speeches across the nation, the GOP members demonstrated a wide difference of opinion on such issues as sending U.S. troops to Europe.
Some of them called for unity and urged a damper on "mere obstructionism." Others said that "me-tooism" had cost the party elections in the past.
There were new attacks on Secretary of State Acheson and several GOP speakers defended Senator McCarthy (R-Wis) and his attacks on communists in government.
Democrats brought McCarthy under fire in Senate debate in Washington yesterday and Senators Hugh Butler (R-Neb) and Langer (R-ND) sprang to his defense.
On the first anniversary of McCarthy's Lincoln Day speech at Wheeling, W. Va., which started the communist-in-government fireworks, Senator Kilgore (D-WVa) demanded that the Wisconsin Senator "come to bat" with proof of his accusations.
Gov. Thomas E. Dewey of New York, the 1948 GOP presidential nominee, fired a blast in a New York City speech last night against Republicans who would limit aid to western Europe as Senator Taff (R-Ohio) and Former President Herbert Hoover have suggested.
Calling for a world-wide Monroe Doctrine, Dewey said the United States must draw a global line and prepare to wage all-out war if Russian aggression crosses port of Clyde Cromer, chairman of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce Plant Location committee.

He suggested that Atlantic Pact members plus Greece, Turkey, Iran, Spain, Yugoslavia and the Moslem world from Egypt to China be included in this free world area.
"Let us stop handing armies and navies over to the Russians," Dewey said. The only way to stop it is to draw the line... we cannot protect ourselves by withdrawing from the rest of the world. Operation withdrawal is operation suicide."
C. W. Says Service Is Great, But Others Disagree
WASHINGTON (AP) — To hear this fellow C. W. tell it, the boys in uniform never had it so good. Listen to him:
"Good salaries ... small income tax ... no worries about medical, dental or hospital bills ... gasoline for their personal cars ... generous pensions ..."
"Except for the draftees, practically every man in uniform gets more money than he could in civilian life."
That's what the man said, in a letter to the Washington Evening Star.
True, he explained he wasn't talking about combat troops mostly about military desk-sitters. But that didn't help him when the cries of indignation began to arise.
"A fine example of subversive propaganda engendered by ignorance and prejudice," thundered an Air Force major from across the Potomac river in Virginia—where there's a building called the Pentagon... with lots of desks.
"The writer of that piece of nonsense is either terribly misformed, drunk or in the pay of

HADACOL May Relieve Cause Of Distress If Due to Lack Of Vitamins B1, B2, Niacin And Iron
A healthy childhood is the basis for a healthy adult life. Little Lee Horton, age four, of 108 74th Avenue, Houston, Texas, was deficient in Vitamins B1, B2, Niacin and Iron, and just didn't have any appetite at all. His father, Mr. F. W. Horton, said that they just couldn't get Lee to eat. They heard about Lee Horton HADACOL on the radio, and decided to try it for Lee. After taking HADACOL, said Mr. Horton, Lee's appetite picked up and he started eating three hearty meals a day. Now Lee has gained weight, has more energy, and never has to be coaxed to eat.
Here is Mr. Horton's own statement:
"Lee was very weak and run-down and just didn't want to eat at all. We heard about HADACOL on the radio and decided that was what Lee needed. After he started taking HADACOL, his appetite picked up right away. He started gaining weight and eats real well now, and has been feeling real good. HADACOL has been good for Lee and I heartily recommend it to everyone."

New Plan Allows Students to Enlist
WASHINGTON (AP) — Selective Service laid down its formal rules today under which many thousands of college and high school students will have a chance to enlist in the service of their choice even after their school term ends next summer.
A 30-day postponement of induction is provided for these students.
Under law, inductions of students called up while they are in school are postponed automatically until the end of the school year. But at that time they would be called immediately.
The new policy provides that a student, even if he has been ordered for induction, will be allowed to apply for a 30-day holdup of his induction notice, stating his purpose to enlist. The postponement would begin at the end of the school year.
Then, at the end of the 30 days, his draft board would make a check. If the student had enlisted, his case would be closed. If he hadn’t, he would be drafted.
Selective service officials said they feel the new policy will allow the student to devote his entire final month to his studies, instead of spending time scouting around recruiting stations. Many students have been trying to enlist in the Air Force or the Navy, rather than wait to be drafted for service in the infantry.
