Sorority Meets at Tews Home for Yule Party Miss Norma Jean Tews, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Howard Tews, 700 N. Helena, entertained twenty of her alpha sorority sisters from Occidental College at a Yuletide party Wednesday evening. Five of her visitors stayed as houseguests. I. Andrews, 311 E. Broadway, will entertain daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Palmer and three children of El Cahon, for Christmas dinner. Son Jerry Palmer, also of El Cahon, arrived Friday to spend the week with the Andrews. HOUSE GUEST Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Muraoka and their daughter, Junco, 10622 Court st., are proudly introducing their house guest this week, Lt. Julia Y. Kitano from Memphis, Tennessee, Mrs. Muraoka's sister. Lt. Kitano flew here on leave after a week in New York where she visited friends and took in the new shows and night spots. Los Ange Holiday Reunion For Former School Friends Mrs. Elliot McKnight and Miss Helen Hillary, were co-hostesses at a Christmas get-together at the Hillary home at 415 S. Citron, last night. Guests spent the evening playing charades, guessing games and reminiscing. Miss Jackie Cone and Mrs. David Deetz walked off with the prizes. Refreshments were served buffet style. Candied nuts, chocolate and whipped cream lower dessert, coffee and tea were served. Go to Church Sunday Women's Fellowship Install Officers Candlelight installation of officers followed the Christmas program presented yesterday afternoon at an outstanding meeting of the Women's Fellowship Society of the Presbyterian church. All officers were attired in blue choir robes for the service which was opened by Mrs. Ross Walker, outgoing president. Mrs. Walker presented the lighted candle she carried to Mrs. Paige Vincent who assumed leadership of the organization for the coming year. Theme of the installation was "Power and Witness" from a song dedicated to the National Quadrennial meeting of the Presbyterians at Ocean Grove, N.J. Family United at Holiday Party Mr. and Mrs. Janne Hommel, 6801 E. Orange, were hosts recently to Hommel's five brothers and their wives and their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Boetger and their 12 year old son, James, Jr., 1215 S. Lincoln ave. A turkey dinner was served at elaborately appointed tables dressed in rock crystal, tiny varicolored balls on glass Christmas trees and white tapers in crystal holders. There are seven Hommel brothers, that all look very much alike. The oldest, Jannes who is 68, is in Holland where he owns a large fuel business. The second brother, Garrit, 65, who is a partner to Jannes is here from Leewarden on a six months leave, to return Jan. 5. All the brothers, but one, married girls from Holland. The third brother is Albert from Gardena; Joe who lives in Venice; Bob, Culvery City; Libbe, Beaumont and the host who is the youngest, Janne 46, who has lived in Cypress on his present ranch for eight years. He formerly lived in Rotterdam and visited brothers in Holland just two years ago. a dramatic production in reading and song was presented at an intering Christmas meeting yesterday before members of the Presbyterian Women's Fellowship. Northern Jean Tews as Mary; Juanita Ross, soloist, and Peggy Kohlenberger, pianists presented the magficient program. The program was introduced by the real meaning of Christmas by Mrs. H. M. Peterson, district chairman of Orange Presbyterian church and devotions were given by Mrs. A. Hoepe reading the Christmas Story from Luke.
