NUT BREAD 2 cups sifted enriched flour 3 teaspoons baking powder ¾ teaspoon salt ½ cup sugar ¾ cup chopped nuts 1 egg 1 cup milk 3 tablespoons melted lard or drippings Line bottom of a loaf pan 5x9 inches with wax paper. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar together. Add nuts. Beat egg, add milk and fat. Add to dry ingredients. Stir only until flour is moistened.
