Santa Visits SQR Store-Employees at Christmas Party in E
One of the loveliest parties of the holiday season was observed last night at the Anaheim 'Ebell club when more than 125 employees of the SQR store and their guests gathered for a festive evening around a beautifully decorated tree for traditional games.
Merry old Santa Claus himself conducted the gift exchange, lending a lively note to the proceedings.
Group singing of carols was led by Bob Ranger with Connie Wood as accompanist and was followed by many enjoyable Yuletide games.
Two of the oldest members of the firm, Mrs. Mary Thompson and Mrs. Alvina Luce presided at the attractively appointed tea table, set with a lace cloth and centered with unusual arrangements of silver and green Christmas decorations. Delicious refreshments of hot mince pie and coffee were served.
LET'S DO THIS EVERY YEAR was the general opinion of SQR Store employees following the delightful night at the Ebell clubhouse. Admiring the festively wrapped gifts they have just received from Santa Claus, Mrs. Oscar Renner, Mrs. Russell Renner, Mrs. Herman Thompson, Mrs. Martha Schumacher, O. Lachlan and Russell Renner. Judging from the success of the affair it may become an annual custom.

"When the Christ Child Came," the first half of the program, spotlights the a Capella choir and a chosen eighteen piece orchestra with Marilyn Schimming at the piano and Frances Cowee with organ accompaniment.
Soloists for Clokey's work include sopranos: Delores Giardino, Marilyn Miller and Marian Caracausa; alto Frances Rhoads; tenor Don Goff; baritone Jack Conklin, and basses Carl A. Hatfield, Don Jackson and Carl L. Hatfield.

'There Must Be a Santa Claus' Says Cub Scout
Horace Mann Cubs of Pack No. 102 held an early Christmas party last Friday night at the Fremont School cafeteria. And good old Santa was there, too.
The boys and their parents and friends enjoyed a delicious pot luck supper, followed by the distribution of gifts by the kindly whiskered gentleman. Each Cub, as well as each little sister or brother, received a daily wrapped package from the huge pile under the lighted Christmas tree. One little Cub was heard to remark, "There must be a real Santa. My Mommic and Daddy did not bring anything for me, but I did receive a gift. See . . ." All joined in the singing of favorite Christmas carols, ably led by Mrs. Hinman.
Den 3 presented the colors and also won the visitors count.
Cub Master William Martin announced a committee meeting scheduled for next Tuesday evening at his home.
