The stage of the clubroom was banked with red berries and greenery with a spray of deodar at one side covering a tall candelabra. Walls of the room were decorated with boughs of evergreen tied with huge red satin bows and silver tree ornaments. Decoration chairmen were Mrs. Melvin Hilgenfeld and Mrs. Delmar Jackson. Mrs. W. E. Whiteman was program chairman. Gifts placed under the tree for holiday meals at Orange county hospital were taken to the hospital by Mrs. L. M. Pickel, chairman of the philanthropy committee.

Stanton Items
Miss Eleanor Vernon and Ernie Peirson of Los Angeles, from the "Accent on Youth" radio program, sang for the Ladies Missionary Society of the Stanton Community church, at their all-day monthly meeting, Thursday. They announced to their many friends here, who have been interested in their training to be missionaries in Ethiopia at the Sudan Interior Mission, that they will be married in January before leaving. Rev. Charles Whitel will be one of the ministers to officiate at the ceremony.
Fifteen members tied a quilt after which a Spanish dinner was served at noon. Mrs. White conducted the devotional hour. The group spent $30 on Christmas gifts for Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jenkins and their four children, missionaries in South America.
The Workman's Class of the Stanton Community church held their Yule party Friday night. The young married couples exchanged gifts, before a beautifully decorated tree, in the new clubroom of the church.
