For Results and Quick 7 Anaheim Gazette FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1850 ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA Holiday Events (German revolution of 1848 he was editor of a revolutionary paper. In 1849, after being banished from Paris, he went to London, where despite the cares of a large family and great poverty, he continued his economic studies. His complete exposition of Political Economy in his last work was completed by Engles. One of his theories was that capitalism was intrinsically evil. With his brilliant mind and through his pen, he could have done much good for the world had it been done in the right direction. Mrs. William Jolissaint was in charge of the social hour. Personal Items Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kahlen, 201 N. Clementine, became the parents of an eight pound, six ounce boy, Nov. 22. Brent Harold, new member of the household, arrived at St. Joseph hospital. Brent's maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Resler of Owatonna, Minn., and his paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Kahlen, Jr. Colony Quips (Continued from Page 4) is operated in Florida and the way the largest segment of the California industry is handled then we plead guilty. If these "big boys" can't take a little criticism, which is always right out in the open, then they just are too small for their job. We could tell a lot of other things, too, which don't sound very good, but also would have no chance of doing the industry any good. But as long as any segment of the citrus industry goes out to sell one grower's product "cheaper" in order to hurt the return of another grower's fruit then there is some terrible fundamental deficiency in our scheme of things. And you can hear plenty of this sort of thing about the California industry if you keep alert. And for all these years did you ever hear anything said, out in the open, about these selfish practices, which hurt the grower most of all? Who but the grower, himself, must get up on his hind legs, and demand that sort of thing stop. Who but the grower, himself, must get up on his hind legs and demand that there must not be any more "cheaper fruit" contracts.
