She was "What doesn't your club do?" She thought of things any woman would have, such as the gavel, flag, and knew she had those signs in her group.
Unable to stand the suspense longer she asked that she be To her amazement, a fat pig with a red bow tied to tail was brought in on a leash handed to her. Upon looking at, she discovered she and the were alone on the stage, the rooting at the footlights causing her all sorts of embarrassment. The club eventually named the little pig into a big and later sold him, after many and tribulations.

Orange County School of Fine Arts and Peter Pan Nursery which now housed in a beautiful studio at 111 Cerritos avenue.
Beth Taunton, then society editor of Anaheim Bulletin, serves president 1930-1931. Her office was sparked by fun mixing with other women's women’s groups for meetings. 1931-1932, Rita Scheiss was absent, followed by Robbie Anzio, now Kaulman, in the presi-chair in 1932-1933. She is attorney with offices in the city of America building. Vin-centa Carleton, still an active member, stressed education and vocations, and supported many worthy charities during her term in 1933-1934.
In 1934-1935, the president was Sarah Fay Pearson, wife of the present mayor of the city of Anaheim. Mabel Dixon was president in 1935-1936; Ruth Williams, 1936-1937; Myrtle Henry, 1937-1938; Eva Boyd, 1938-1939, now in the insurance business; Ruth Starr in 1939-1940 and Maybelle Hathaway in 1940-1941, whose project was helping the blind. Marjorie Pibel, a teacher at AUHS, served two terms from 1941 to 1943 and was followed by Alice Williamson with one term in office, 1943 to 1944.
Buelah Hineman, at present head of program coordination and active on several other committees, headed the club in 1944-1945. Her main project was the education of Chinese nurses for war time needs.
During her year a beautiful spring tea and program featuring Capt. David Tseng, stationed at Santa Ana Army Air Base, who was in charge of training Chinese flyers, was guest speaker. He talked on inflation and presented a group of Chinese musicians from among the flight students. Rare instruments and a Chinese opera soloist were the highlights of the program.
In 1945-1946, Eva Boyd carried forward the Chinese nurses project, in which she has been vitally interested for some time. Olive Lee Shoemaker, during her term in 1946-1947, stressed "Better Communities" and "City Beautiful" theme. Her major project was the planting of a tree and the dedication of a concrete bench in La Palma park to World War II service men and women.
Also during her term as president, "Exhibit Unique" was held, the immensity of which required the entire facilities of Ebell club house and attracted visitors and favorable comment from surrounding cities and over Orange county. Vic Ruedy, superintendent of La Palma park, will replant the tree which was killed during the past.
