Hurst Jewelry Co. Marks Tenth Year In Anaheim with Celebration Tomorrow
Ten years down and many more than that to go. That's the way Joe Hurst, Anaheim Jeweler sizes up his Anaheim lot at present as he prepares to start his Tenth Anniversary celebration tomorrow at the 119 W. Center st. store.
For the occasion Hurst has completely restocked his store with new merchandise. And it's all going at sale prices, he says. There are the latest creations in the way of dishes, lamps and household accessories. There are certified perfect diamonds, a Hurst specialty. There are complete lines of men's and women's jewelry.
And in this latter instance, Hurst singles out fashionable new wrist watch—cuff links—tie holder sets for men, all perfectly matched, as well as the same for women comprised of matching watch, necklace and ear rings.
Then there are watches, nationally advertised silverware and many other items.
The tenth anniversary celebration has been in the planning stage for six months. For this reason, says Hurst, he has available merchandise which, since the outbreak of the war, has now been placed on the critical list.
All the new merchandise is on display in Hurst's "new" store. "New" because he completed, just a month ago, extensive remodeling both interior and exterior. Thirty days work resulted in the redecorated shop. Hurst says the remodeling was an effort on his part to keep growing with a growing Anaheim.
Hurst's Tenth Anaheim annual sary comes close to his 35th jewelry business, he says. He gan as an apprentice and s jewelry designing. This know he still retains. In fact, Hursts personal jewelry design a specialty of the 119 W. Center house.
He invites shoppers to con indicate their ideas and work designs suitable to their party tastes.

FFA BOYS SET.
FOR FIELD DAY
Six FFA boys from Anaheim high school will attend "Palomar Field Day," sponsored by the Bank of America, held at Palomar Angus this Saturday.
In addition to the big contest in the morning, a ban or all those attending will be noon, after which students tour the ranch and see the livestock on display.
Two local teams will participate in judging: Robert Van Stanley Spicer, James Hedge making up one, and Larry Beck, Carroll Coykendall, and Kelly, the other.
Why try to keep up with crowd? It isn't getting anyw
