The Slick Chicks will appear in the half-time, in a specially arranged program and be introduced one at a time to the public. Director of the Anaheim High school band, Mr. Bill Cook has arranged special music in a salute to the girls. The five girls selected will appear on "Magazine of the Week" on KTLA-TV Sunday, October 22 and votes will be cast by the television audience until Friday midnight October 27. Sunday, October 29, on the same program, the girl receiving the most votes will be crowned "Cover Girl of the Week" and receive all of her wonderful gifts along with the crown of "Miss Slick Chick of the 27th Annual Hallowe'en Festival." C. C. HARRY SEES NEW MERCURY IN PREVIEW C. C. Harry, local Mercury dealer, returned recently from San Francisco where he attended a preview dealer showing of the new line of 1951 Mercury and Lincoln cars. In a statement, the dealers attending the preview said "these new cars are by far the finest ever made by the Ford Motor co. Styling is super and mechanically they offer the best performance automotive engineers are able to build." CONTRACT AWARDED County supervisors have awarded the contract for installing an automatic sprinkling system in the main and psychopathic buildings at the county hospital to the California Viking Sprinkling Co., of Los Angeles, on a bid of $19,178 it was announced today. This firm was the only bidder. Montoya is from Ontario, where he was born and raised. He has been a baker for the past six years. He has been an instructor at Wilton's Decorating School in Los Angeles. The new bakery will have a full line of Danish and French pastries, German cheese cakes and pastries and will make a specialty of wedding and party cakes. The slogan of the owners is: "It's fresh, it's good, it's Gruner's." "We believe that there is an excellent future in Anaheim," the partners said today. "We feel that Anaheim is destined to continue to grow, and we want to become a part of this thriving community." Placentian Dies At Son’s Home Rebecca Elizabeth O'Neal, 87, a native of Illinois and a resident of Placentia for 22 years died Wednesday forenoon at the home or her son; Winton Nickles, 4771 Carolina st. after an extended illness. She leaves her husband, William G. O'Neal, five sons, Dave and Winton Nickles of Placentia; John and Bill Nickles of Arkansas; Charles Nickles of Oregon; three daughters; Mrs. Jane Maxey of Placentia; Mrs. Belle Glenn of Fullerton and Mrs. W. B. Hall of Anaheim. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hilgenfeld chapel, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. A. M.
