College Small Talk
By JACKIE CUSHING
Monday may mean washday to many busy housewives or it may mean dashing off to the office for many business men, but to most college students it means that it is time to discuss the weekend football results, in addition to resuming class work for another five days, of course.
The Winnah
Fullerton's 26-13 victory over Santa Monica will be a conversation topic for more than one day at the JC. Although some of the rooters lost their optimism when the opposing team made the first touchdown, by the third quarter even the most pessimistic had to admit it looked like Fullerton's game.
Far Away Places
Enthusiastic Hornet rooters cared little about the distance between Santa Monica and Fullerton and swarmed to the beach town to witness the encounter. Even that elusive thing called school spirit turned up at the game, much to the delight of the yell leaders.
Did You Know
Four Anaheimers are included on the Hornet roster, which totals approximately 32 men. Included are: Joe Moody, Don Ames, Ed Heinrich and Larry Weaver. All four team members were well known for their athletic abilities while attending AUHS and played varsity football while in high school.
In Conclusion
Next Saturday Fullerton JC will encounter Orange Coast college at Orange Coast and will be out for another victory.
