Evening Service Unites Janet Peters Harry F. Cason in Double Ring Rites
A graceful white archway formed an attractive background Sunday evening for the marriage of Miss Janet Ellen Peters, daughter of the Gilbert Peters of E. Broadway to Harry F. Cason of Bell, California. The Rev. J. D. Davis read the double ring service at the Assembly of God church in Anaheim.
The bride wore a gown of white satin with a deep yoke of nylon lace, bordered with a small ruffle. The fitted bodice tapered to the waist where it fell into a full skirt. Her veil was fingertip length bordered with lace and fell from a satin crown and she carried a bouquet of miniature white roses.
Maid of honor Maxine Peters wore blue taffeta with nylon lace trim and a bouquet of talisman roses. Bridesmaids were Fern Murphy, Jean Thomas and Lila Bray.
Little Sharon Lee Homer was flower girl and Paul Peters was ring bearer.
Milton Peters served as best man and ushers were Ken Butler, Jimmy Thomas and Joe Bray.
Soloists, Miss Ruby Maley, and Milton Peters sang "My Happiness" and Maxine Peters sang "As the Years Go By."
Reception for 200 guests was held at the Anaheim Ebell club.
The bride is a graduate of Anaheim High school. Mr. Cason was formerly in service in the Navy and is now empolyed as a welder. They will establish residence in Bell Gardens.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Robert Alhmouch of Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Niles have moved to their new home on Starrd. They formerly resided on E. Ballrd.
Norman V. Salaets, who received his bachelor of science degree in Industrial relations at USC the end of last month is now working for his Masters in Industrial Relations and Management.
A graduate of Anaheim high school, Salaets spent six years as a Marine in World War II. He was at Pearl Harbor and spent a year in China. While in the service he spent two years at Purdue University.
His first two years of college work after service were completed at Fullerton Junior college where he was a member of the honor society.
Salaets plans a business career following his college work.

E. Center st. held a delightful afternoon. The party also honored the position of violin in Mrs. Anna Siegel CenIn Anaheim with P
Students of Mrs. Anna Siegel at the Anaheim Conservatory on Music on W. Center st., gathered at the studio Sunday afternoon to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the school. The occasion marked also the twentieth anniversary of Vladimir Lenski as violin instructor at the conservatory.
Guests included present and former students of the school.
Esther Leuschner, who was Mrs. Siegel's first student thirty year ago; Helen Hieneman, nee Heleen Grafton, and Mrs. Grace Rickey, nee Grace Kister, students of the studio 27 years ago were introduced to the guests.
Three year old Kathleen AnLenski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vladimir Lenski, attended with her parents and presented several selections on the tiny violin which was made especially for her.
Also introduced were Mr. and Mrs. A. Roselle from Pomona, and Mrs. Siegel's daughter, Mrs. John F. Taylor of Westwood and daughters Ruth Ellen and Edith. Mrs. Taylor is a prominent member of Westwood University church where she serves as secretary.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Stoye from Palos Verdes extended congratulations to the two honored guests.

Mae Boeckman and Chas. Cornbloom were quietly married in Las Vegas, Nev., last Saturday, according to word received by friends of Mae.
The bride is employed at Cone Bros. Chevrolet in this city and her bridegroom is with Pacific Balboa Corp.
Mr. and Mrs. Cornbloom will make their home in this city.

Friends of Mrs. William Kruse, nee Lucy Idso, honored her with a delightful miscellaneous shower Friday evening at the home of her twin sister, Mrs. Kenneth Hatten on S. Los Angeles st. Audrey Kruse was co-hostess.

Pearl Zagor will present a review of plays at the first general meeting of Anaheim Ebell club to be held Oct. 2 at the clubhouse. Luncheon reservations are to be made by September 30 with Mrs. Charles Frank at 2309. Music will be furnished by high school students.
Luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m. with business meeting to follow.
All potential folk dancers wishing to join a contemplated class with excellent instructor, appropriate music and smooth floor, may do so by calling Fullerton 1603-J, after 6 p.m.
If at least 10 couples are registered to learn the colorful dances of many lands, this proposed class will become a reality, free of charge.
Elizabeth Marshall, 156 Evelyn dr., is among the 236 women who were pledged to the 13 national social sororities at the University of Kansas last week. The total, an even 30 more than last year, is a new high for a women's rush week. Miss Marshall pledged Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

P-TA Fetes Parents Tonight at AUHS
P-TA is sponsoring a dinner and program for the parents of the freshman class this evening at 6:30 p.m., in the cafeteria of the high school. This is the 4th annual meeting of its type.
Program is arranged to give the parents of students a first hand idea of a class schedule by going through a typical day of school. In this glorified school, class will reign only ten minutes, just enough time to put the idea over.
Dinner program will begin with the introduction of superintendent Paul Demaree by Mrs. George Holden. Mr. Demaree will in turn introduce the teachers and counselors.
Counselors this year are: Miss Virginia Huff, Fred Jeter, Welden Bramblet, Chet Shirk and Mrs. Faye Schultz.

The Chat and Chew met Thursday for a potluck luncheon at the home of Mrs. Anthony Parra, 10372 Hanson ave., with Mmes. Marie Eckert, Clara Karraker, Gladys Nordstrom, Lee Sawtelle, Robert Kahl, John Lukens and Edna Mehaffey present.
Talented students of Miss Blanche Hayward, 705 Oceanview Drive, Fullerton, were chosen to perform on a radio recital sponsored by the Birkel-Richardson Company of Los Angeles last Friday, September 22.
Station KGFJ featured students Joanne Schwemmer, 11, Donna Davis, 10, and Nancy Fisher, 11, at the piano. The program is a 15 minute production, starting at 5:15 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and is called "Planists of Today and Tomorrow."
Katella square dancers enjoyed dancing to a caller last week and announced that Slim Leavitt will be with the group every Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. All square dancers are welcome.

Mr. Stoye, a noted composer presented three of his compositions to the gathering.
A short musical program was given starring Sarah Green, pianist; Philip Taylor, violinist, and Rosalie Miller, soloist. They were accompanied by Mrs. Lenski.
Arrangements of red roses were used as decoration in the conservatory and guests were served refreshments of cookies and coffee prepared by Mrs. A. Allen and her daughter Ann.
St. Agnes Guild Receives Yearbooks
Plans for the coming Fall Festival were formulated by St. Agnes Guild of St. Michael's church at the first regular meeting of the club year.
Adah Wilcox was hostess to the group at a steak bake in her home. Assisting were Mrs. Robert Rossberg, Mrs. H. A. Krause and Mrs. Ted Kuchel.
Verne Stanton was introduced as a new member. Mrs. Milton Shaw distributed the attractive new yearbooks she had prepared for the coming term.
Mrs. Gerald Goodrich presided over the business meeting.

Members of the class of 1925 of Anaheim high school with their families, celebrated this week at the silver anniversary of their graduation from AUHS.
Mrs. Charles Pearson greeted guests as they arrived and Mrs. Sam Loard entered the name of each in a guest book prepared for the event.

Mr. Luz Garcia of the La Favorita Market and Barber Shop, 10896 S. Stanton ave., often referred to as the mayor of the Latin American Colony in Stanton, is one of the most respected and civic minded residents in the entire area His latest generous gesture was to contribute to the fund created by the Chamber of Commerce to buy a fire truck He had gone further and has promised to contact every one of the 181 homes in the colony for a contribution The amount of money each will give may not be large but will be an expression of their interest in the communities welfare.
Garcia is a charter member of the chamber and until recently was a director He was the originator of the Stanton Lighting district.
Mrs. Lois Reynolds of 147 W.Center st.left Sunday morning for Abilene, Texas, to visit her foster father who is critically ill She expects to be gone about two weeks during which time she will also visit relatives in Anson and in El Paso, Texas.

Television hero Hop-a-Long Cassidy was the inspiration for a clever birthday party in honor of Robert Charles Pannier's sixth birthday Sunday afternoon.
Dessert of ice cream and a cake mounted with a miniature "Hoppy" figure was served preceding games and a television show of the cowboy star.
Assisting Mrs.Pannier in hostess duties were Jeannine Pannier,sister of Robert,and Mrs.Albert Brubaker of Orange.
Robert's guests were Mark Oden,Susan LaFond,john Olson,Larry Brubaker,Claire Weil,Linda Casto,Tanna Casto Judy Brubaker Janet Davis and David Pope.
