RAY GLAU, TEXAS, WAS ALSO SENSATIONAL Anaheim Gazette, Tuesday, September 19, 1950 Beauty Is In the Kit Your face "an naturel" may not warrant any beauty prizes, but a little time and a little help from your cosmetics kit can boost you several notches up the beauty ladder. First step is the choice of a cream or cake type foundation. For dry skin a product containing oil or lanolin is to be preferred, while the oily skin reacts best to a make-up pat. Pick a foundation tone that matches your skin, or that is warmer or slightly darker in hue, never one that is lighter. Blend it in, remembering that your neck should be the same shade as your face, and that your face extends to the hair line, as well as under the eyes. Triangle Method And now you're ready for a bit of rouge. Use the triangle method, making dots on each cheek, the first directly under the pupil of the eye, the second at the outer edge of the cheekbone, and third no lower than the tip of your nose. Fill in the triangle lightly, and blend it in so that you can't see where it begins or ends. The same color rules for your foundation apply to your powder. A clean puff or cotton pad is also essential. Pat the powder onto each cheek, the forehead, the chin and the nose. This gives a more natural appearance and makes replenishing less frequent. Apply Lipstick When applying lipstick, follow the general contours of your lips. corners far enough so that no naked spot when you then fill in, and press together to carry some off or to the lower lip. Smooth upper lip with your little and as a final measure blossom on a cleansing tint. As the finishing touch, mascara will make you look darker and heavier, of liquefying cream on the will brighten the eyes. Stanton Starts Fire Ball Going Conna E.
