FROX (Renamed by The Bell Syndicate, Inc.) 9-18-50 Anaheim Gazette, Monday, September 18, 1950 Navy Announces Equipment Sale The Naval Air Station, San Diego, California announces that on 21 September, 1950 at 11 a.m., 5 Cab and Chassis, 24 Dump trucks, 13 Cargo trucks, 6 Truck tractors, 2 Tank trucks, 7 Trailers, 3 Canopy trucks, 2 Express trucks, 2 Weapon carriers, 5 Stake trucks, 8 Jeeps and 4 Panel trucks will be offered for sale on a sealed bid basis for replacement purposes only. The material listed herein is being offered for sale in accordance with Section 201(c), Public Law 152, 81st Congress. The above will be sold in units of one each. All vehicles may be inspected at the Naval Air Station Public Works Vehicle Compound, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m., to 3 p.m., beginning 13 September until the time of sale. Catlogs and information may be obtained by writing to the Supply and Fiscal Officer. Disposal Unit, U.S. Naval Air Station, San Diego 35, California or by telephoning Henley 3-6611, Extension 1336. Bids for these jeeps and scooters can not be accepted from officers or enlisted personnel on active duty with the Navy or Marine Corps, or by civilian employee of the Navy or Marine Corps or their immediate families.
