Jackie Cushing is back at her familiar job as Society editor and Sally Inkster is Torch editor. Jackie has just returned to school after a three month term as Society editor for the Anaheim Gazette. Gene Hudson of Bellflower and Ray Mooshagan of Norwalk have left the free life for a term in the service. They both attended JC last year. Fall picnic tickets will be on sale during the noon hour at the patio on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. The only three returning first string lettermen are Darell Owen of Whittier, Jimmy Jones of Fullerton and Bob Horn of Whittier. Last year Jones made all Southern California selection at guard. Roy Brown, a swimmer, holds 4 national Junior College records for the 50 yard to 1500 meter in the all Junior college freestyle swimming records and distances. Redlands lost a fish when Robert Best, 100 yd. breaststroke champion and record holder, entered FJC. Water polo schedule will get under way next Thursday, Sept. 21, at the swimming club at El Segundo High school.
