‘Hello Week’ at Fullerton Junior College Scheduled
A busy schedule of events has been planned for “Hello Week,” the first week of school at Fullerton Junior college, with a number of social activities scheduled to take place enabling students to become acquainted with each other and the school.
Name tags will be issued to everyone and space has been allowed for the name of the wearer and for several signatures of someone unacquainted with him, thus promoting the meeting of new friends.
Rooter's caps will be sold during registration to students. They will be worn during the first week, at rallies, games and Friday's preceding a football game. Freshmen will be required to wear them as a part of their initiation rules.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the three sororities will sponsor a limited entertainment during the noon period. During this time freshmen who have been given citations for not following initiation requirements will be called up.
Play-night will provide a lively evening of entertainment and fun, Thursday. Sponsored by Associated Women Students, it will provide a perfect chance to meet new friends. Swimming, badminton, volleyball, ping-pong and many other games have been slated for the occasion.
Song and yell-leader try-outs will be held Friday in preparation for the John Muir-Fullerton J.C. football game scheduled to take place in the Rose Bowl that night. Freshmen will also be allowed to wear their rooters caps correctly following the rally.
Concluding the “Hello Week” activities will be the Get Acquainted dance, sponsored by the Hornot-Y and slated for Saturday night. Name tags will be required

With the beginning of school, family meal patterns undergo a change. Gone are the leisurely breakfast and rather haphazard lunches of vacation time. Children will be carrying their lunches or patronizing the school cafeteria and will probably rush home in the afternoon eager for an after-school snack. You will want to think along these lines when planning your menus and shopping for food this week.
To see that each member of your family is well fed, it is useful to use a specific plan. This you can be sure to provide enough of each important kind of Nutritionists have worked out following basic menu plan.
