The new cafe is the latest Glenn development in 12 years of Anaheim Restaurantering. New Glenn Cafe Observes Grand Opening Monday The ultimate in modern equipment and interior styling will be placed at the disposal of Anaheim diners next Monday, with the grand opening of Glenn's Cafe, 122 E. Center st. The new cafe is the latest enterprise of Maynard Glenn, who, assisted by his wife, Elsie Lee Glenn, has been serving Anaheimers for the past 12 years. The new cafe will be open from 6 a.m., to 8 p.m., daily except Sunday. The Glenn Cafe, has a seating capacity of 68 at counter and booths. Staff members from the Mother Colony House, Glenn's last enterprise, move to the new 122 Center st. location. The staff includes Maurine Rees and Mickey Winning, morning waitresses; Julia Chapman, Lou Relda Martin and Dolores Gautz, night waitresses; Alice Birley, relief waitress; Lawrence Huff and James Garrett, morning and night cooks respectively and Lee Phelps and Lupe Morena, kitchen attendants. The new cafe features a canyon pink and tropical blue motiff. Painting as been executed by Reynolds Meade and Sons, Anaheim painting contractors. The kitchen has been installed with stainless steel fixtures throughout.
