For Results, Quick A Page 7 Anaheim Gazette, Wednesday, August 16, 1950 Formal Ceremony Institutes New Cypress Lodge Three-fold ceremonials which saw formal institution of the new Cypress lodge, the installation of its officers, and conferral of the third degree on its members, highlighted a joint meeting of Santa Ana, Orange, Cypress, and Anaheim International Order of Odd Fellows lodges held last night at the local lodge hall. Evening's activities got under way as visiting members of the Grand Lodge turned their chairs over to Anaheim's Third degree staff who put on degrees for Cypress 77, Orange 225, S. A. 236. After the degree, a tableau was presented for Grand Master. Then the staff reconvened the recess of past weeks and instituted Cypress lodge. Following this, the Grand Lodge closed the institution and turned the lodge over to the District Deputy Grand Master A. A. Harris for installation. The lodge was opened for installation and the Rebekahs of Cypress, Orange, Anaheim and Santa Ana and their friends came into lodge to witness the installation. After this ceremony, the lodge was turned over to the new Noble Grand of Cypress, Clyde Arnold, who carried on the nomination. Harris also presented two gavels to Cypress' Noble Grand and Vice Grand, sent by Costa Mesa lodge and made of cypress wood. Concluding talks were given by the Grand Master who praised Harris and his staff for installation of officers. Refreshments were served by ladies of Cypress and Anaheim lodge.
