Mystery or the week is what happened to John Marshall, the amazing Australian who accompanied the American swimming team to Japan. He started out like a worldbeater in both the 400 and 1500-meter events, but folded quick, enabling Throshin Furuhashi to breeze on to new world's records. Even Jimmy McLane whipped Marshall. This is the same John Marshall who has been called the greatest swimmer of all time. What happen?
We think this talk by Big 10 members about overemphasizing football is so much double-talk. Colleges nowadays have two choices. PLANNERS APPROVE APPLICATION FOR SAND, GRAVEL PLANT
After hearing arguments for and against R. J. Noble's application for a permit to establish sand and gravel plant on Anaheim-Olive road near Santa Ana river, the county planning commission Friday voted five to three to recommend approval to the county supervisors, who will decide the mater tomorrow.
