out and dry so quickly that you won't have to take nearly so many with you. If you have the accessories for each change of clothing down to the last bobby pin, clip, shoe, slip, etc., you are ready to pack.
Packing at a convenient working height is easier on your back than packing on the floor. It is a help to take an overnight bag if you can, so that you will only have to open your large suitcase when you reach your destination. A cosmetic kit is handy too. If your budget rules that out, buy new small sizes of cosmetics just for the trip and seal all the liquid ones with scotch tape.
Shoes take up the most room so stuff them with soft things like washeloths, hosiery, etc. Pack the heaviest things which will probably be your shoes, first, and then add items that will not crush such as bathing suits or sweaters. Put the most perishable clothes on top—dresses, suits, blouses and so on.
The very best way to insure unwrinkled clothes is to think how they will travel when you choose them. Jerseys, laces, light silks and knitwear all have good pack-ability.
When you get to your destination, unpack as soon as you can. As a cure for wrinkles, hang a garment on a hanger in a good stiff breeze. If that does not work, try hanging it in the bathroom and let steam do its work.
And don't forget to tag your Hermosa Water Sport programs or season will be stage of Hermosa Beach Sunday, Aug. 19-24; announced today by 50-30 Club of Hosponsors of the event.
Called the Second Hermosa Beach Sports Regatta, the two-day spectacle dory races, roughness race races, pad beauty contests, music by "muscle boy" plus special events from various beach areas.
One of the feats the rough water sport Manhattan Beach pines Hermosa Beach Pier race is witnessed by beach residents tops.
Another top sport two-mile dory race must be lauched surf and raced chored one mile then landed through.
No entry fee is required in the event section of handsome awards the wristbands at the Hermosa Beach Headquarters for and 20 water sports firmly on the outside.
EVEN DUST PARTICLES OF RADIOACTIVE STUFF ARE A HAZARD IF YOU CARRY THEM ON YOURSELVES OR YOUR CLOTHES...
I CATCH! SO IF WE CAN'T HOPE TO SHED ALL OF OPHIR'S DUST HERE...WE'LL HAVE A ONCE OVER LIGHTLY!
THAT'S WHAT WAGS WANTS TO KNOW-- HE'S TRYING TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO WHEN--
AND SO HELP ME, THIS VOICE COMES FLOATING OUT OF THE STANDS AND SMACKS ME...JUST LIKE A KISS!
HAW! HAW! LOVE HITS THE SPORTS PAGES GOOD AND JUICY!

Hermosa Slates Water Sport Day
One of the biggest ocean water sports programs of the summer season will be staged on the sands of Hermosa Beach Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19-20, it was announced today by officials of the 30 Club of Hermosa Beach sponsors of the event.
Called the Second Annual Hermosa Beach South Bay Water Sports Regatta, the roster of the two-day spectacle will feature dory races, rough water swims, istance races, paddleboard races, beauty contests, massed gymnastics by "muscle beach" athletes, plus special events for lifeguards from various beach cities.
One of the feature events is the rough water swim from the Manhattan Beach pier to the Hermosa Beach Pier. This grueling race is witnessed by the thousands of beach residents from their rooftops.
Another top spectacle is the two-mile dory race. Big Cape Cod dorys must be launched through the surf and raced to a buoy anchored one mile off shore, and then landed through the surf.
No entry fee is required to participate in the events. A fine collection of handsome trophies will be awarded the winners.
Entry blanks may be obtained at the Hermosa Biltmore Hotel, headquarters for the August 19 and 20 water sports regatta.
