(Gazette Photo by Bradley) New Band Box Cleaning Shop Holds Grand Opening Tomorrow Anaheim gains another fine dry cleaning establishment tomorrow with formal grand opening of Band Box Cleaners at 946 N. Los Angeles st., former home of Acme Cleaners. The plant has been completely remodeled. Exterior has been Beverly Hills, and Arcadia. They until recently, owned the El Rancho Cleaners in the latter city, moving to Anaheim only this month. They are however, no strangers in this city. Their daughter, Mrs. Premium Books For County Fair Now Available Premium books contain information regarding compacts and prizes for agriculture feature exhibits, are now available for the Orange county Fair, July 16-20. Anaheim area entrants obtain books by simply writing the Agricultural Exhibits Fair Grounds office, Santa Ana. Aside from the many educational exhibits, the show will also feature exhibits. Exterior has been painted and modernized, and the inside has received an extensive interior decorating renovation, including new fixtures, furniture, flooring and wallpaper. Mr. and Mrs. H. Paul Klueter, owners of the new undertaking, bring 20 years of experience in the dry cleaning business to Anaheim. They formerly operated cleaning plants in Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, and Arcadia. They until recently owned the El Rancho Cleaners in the latter city, moving to Anaheim only this month. They are however, no strangers in this city. Their daughter, Mrs. Charles Brown, is the daughter-in-law of A. P. M. Brown, prominent insurance broker of Anaheim. The Klueters purchased the business and equipment of the plant and leased the building and property from Warren Ashleigh, operator of Acme Cleaners. The Klueters have their own truck for rapid pickup and delivery service. Connected with the police radio station, the city types also will be in daily munication with police headlers of the state and its cities where criminal records automobile registration are frequently required in police will be available. The highest bid was above $122,000. The winning bid also was approximately $30,000 less than engineering estimates for the County flood control engineer Jack Bradley, said that the construction of the pipe line is scheduled to be completed before flood season this fall. It is of the county's proposed installation of drainage facilities in Prado Basin which is expected to age from 8000 to 12,000 acres of water annually, now through transpiration. Mr. Klueter does all the press- Nation’s Crop Of Oranges to Top Last Year WASHINGTON (AP)—A national orange crop three per cent above last season’s is predicted by the Department of Agriculture. Its report based on the July 1 condition of the crop, estimated the year’s production at 103.2 million boxes. It figures the California lemon crop at 10.4 million boxes, four per cent above last season, and a national grapefruit production of 39.6 million boxes. About 20 million boxes of oranges were available after July 1, all of them California Valencias for harvest this summer and fall except about 250,000 boxes of Florida Valencias, to be marketed by mid-July. Last year about 19 million boxes of California Valencias and less than 250,000 boxes of Florida Valencias were still available. Only 1.4 million boxes of California summer grapefruit and 100,000 boxes of Florida grapefruit remained unharvested July 1, or 100,000 boxes more than last year at the same time. Prospects continue favorable in California for the new crop citrus, the department said. Holy Communion will be held at 8 a.m. Unlimited Quota Given to Local Marine Recruiting The local Marine Corps Recruiting office revealed today that they had been assigned unlimited quotas for Marine Corps enlistees. Colonel W. F. Parks, Officer in Charge of the Western Marine Corps Recruiting division, said today that he had been authorized to take in as many men as he could until told to stop. There was no indication as to how much the Marine Corps plans to expand. With a present strength of about 74,000 they have been directed to attain sufficient members to carry out their mission within an authorized strength of approximately 100,000.
