C. Niebuhr Dies Henry Carl Niebuhr, 65, who came to California in 1943, died early this morning at his home, 119 E. Water st., after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Frieda G. Niebuhr; one brother, August Niebuhr of Wisconsin and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Brown and Mrs. Marie Snively both of Wisconsin and Mrs. Emma Schroeder of Minnesota. A native of Wonewoc, Wis., Mr. Niebuhr was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. Funeral arrangements have not been completed and will be announced later by the Hilgenfeld mortuary. IF YOU TAKE DELIVERY ON NEW CAR AT FACTORY GET PLATES IN THE STATE A new service on motor vehicle licenses for motorists who journey to the factory for a new automobile has been announced by A. H. "Gus" Henderson, director of the State Department of Motor Vehicles. Under the new system, Mr. Henderson said motorists now in many instances can pick up license plates for the new car before they leave California, and attach them at the factory. Required numbers, engine and serial, are furnished directly by the manufacturer, he stated, and processing of the registration application begins after the purchaser has taken delivery of the vehicle. Shallow cultivation should be used for roses since young feeder roots are near the surface.
