300 Boys and Girls Will Present Closing Program of Christian Education Classes
Closing program for the Released Time Week-Day classes in Christian Education will be held in the Christian Church, Broadway at Helena this evening. Program will start at 7:30 o'clock.
A synopsis of the year's work, with each age group presenting its particular field of study, will be presented as a sort of finale to the year. An estimated 300 boys and girls from the fourth through the eighth grades are expected to participate in the religious program.
Starting with the Old Testament, the program will continue through the prophets, the life and teachings of Christ and conclude with the story of the growth development of the Christian Church. Tonight's event has been arranged by the teachers, Mrs. Stella Danker and Mrs. Eleanor Gilbreth, under the direction of the Anaheim Association of Christian Churches.
The public is cordially invited.

RAMBLERS VIE
Montebello Park receives top girl softball billing over the weekend as three top teams come in for a look at the California Ramblers.
First on the parade will be the Monrovia Owls for a Friday night Southern California League game.
On Sunday the Buena Park Lynx help the Ramblers open the home Western States League season with the Ebonettts; greatest colored girls team in history, ready to help the fans celebrate Memorial Day.

LOS ANGELES (A)—Accused of windling hundreds of men and women of from $50 to $100 apiece, 7 persons were indicted by a federal Grand Jury after its investigation of television "talent" schools.
Assistant U.S. Atty. Ray Kinni-on said yesterday the defendants ploked names from telephone books and advised people that TV talent scouts had spotted them. They are charged with mail fraud.
The Farallon Islands, 26 miles at sea, are officially part of the city of San Francisco.
Indiana is the 37th state in area.
OKINAWA GETS UNIVERSITY
OKINAWA (A)—The first university in the Ryukyu islands is opening its doors to 500 students. Ryukyu University has been built on the site of Shuri castle, which was leveled by shellfire during the American assault of Okinawa in 1945. It already has eight classroom buildings, and an administration building.
Arthur E. Mead; direct information and education; Okinawa military gave the university program include adult extension throughout the islands.
The National Hockey was formed in 1918.
