And they must have been hungry thieves at that. Glenn O. Donovan, 518 S. Palm, manager of the plant, reports that 18 hams, worth $144.00, were taken and three doors were broken off in the effort. The midnight diners broke into the pickle room too, but left things undisturbed, apparently preferring their king-size midnight snack ungarnished. Donovan told Anaheim police that he was apprised of the crime by an employee, Alfred Owens, who couldn't remember whether he had locked up or not and who on checking, found evidences of the theft. Officers Curtis and Wilson went to the plant and reported back that a meat saw had been used to dismantle a padlock in order to gain entrance. 5 reasons WHY YOU SHOULD HAVE A CHECKING ACCOUNT AT BANK OF AMERICA 1 YOUR MONEY IS SAFE You avoid the danger of loss or theft. 2 IT SAVES YOU TIME A 1 YOUR MONEY IS SAFE You avoid the danger of loss or theft. 2 IT SAVES YOU TIME A few minutes spent writing checks and your bills are paid. 3 PROOF OF PAYMENT Each cancelled check is proof of payment. 4 CONVENIENCE If you are ill or busy, you still can pay your bills without delay. 5 ACCURATE ACCOUNTING Check stubs show your balance—an easy way to keep track of your money.
