This is good. But a new note has come into the meetings. What, ask the people, is there to tell us about the stories now coming out of the state department? What about Hiss? What about red herrings? What about Joe McCarthy? These questions superceded the usual questions about farm policies, or strictly local issues. It was a quick trip, but a good one, and encouraging.
