MOD Announces New Assistant Sales Manager
Edward A. Melia, Jr., is the new assistant sales manager holding down a desk in the Mutual Orange Distributors' central office in Redlands.
Melia, who serves as assistant to Joe Imhof on the eastern division desk, recently arrived from Boston where the major portion of his business career has been devoted to the produce deal—both buying and selling.
Prior to coming to M.O.D. he was sales manager for Florida oranges in New England. Prior to that he was office manager of the Atlantic Commission Company at Portland, Maine, servicing the entire Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire area.
Altogether, he has been in the business of buying and selling produce since 1933. During the recent war he spent three and a half years in the Air Corps.
The new salesman is married and has three children. The family is now making its home in Redlands.

For grown ups, too, crossing even a familiar room can be a trip through strange territory—in the dark. So light is your best companion, wherever you go.
Properly located switches keep you safe from bumps and falls. They eliminate that blind and helpless groping for the switch. Multiple control switches will keep light ahead of you, so you'll never have to enter a dark room or hallway.
You'll be interested, too, in the other advantages of multiple switches. They permit you to control lights from several points—saving steps, and saving electricity, too. Be sure your home plans include the types of switches you want, and where you want them. They will help you to enjoy more of the benefits that electricity is bringing to your home. Call your nearest Edison office for advice on adequate wiring.
