Household appliances included a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner. A table of infant’s wear included some new soakers. Costume jewelry and odd buttons galore! One table is piled high with lingerie and another holds men’s unmentionables and sweaters. The linen table is replete with everything from damask napkins to pot holders and to complete your spring table there’s a large choice of pottery and glassware at ridiculously low prices. Foreign Setting
For Ebell's
Parisian Parade
It was a true "Parisian Parade" on Saturday at the Ebell clubhouse when the Junior Ebell club presented their annual benefit bridge and fashion tea for charity.
The spectators sat in sidewalk cafes and watched the professional models step from the ocean liner at Cherbourg, clad in appropriate suits and topcoats. From there they entrained to the French Riviera where active and spectator sport clothes, cocktails and late afternoon gowns, and ball dresses were modeled, all in "high style." Gaye Suzanne furnished the clothes for the show of which Mrs. Fred Fischle was the general chairman. Mrs. Gilbert Kuenzli commentated, appropriate background music adding color to the program. The flowers and corsages in evidence were spectacular and caused much favorable comment.
Door prizes went to Lois Berryman who claimed a mantle clock donated by Kendrick's Jewelry; Anita Callens took home a pressure cooker that came from Aaron Schultz Furniture; an innerspring mattress from Anaheim Mattress Factory was the prize for Norma Goodrich; Schneider Appliances donated an electric iron that was won by Gertrude Hubbard; Mrs. C. R. Brandon won a set of Santa Anita dinnerware from Mitchell's and Mrs. Al Van der Worth was the excited recipient of an electric blanket from Garey's.

Bagnard, publicity; Mrs. Henry Plou, food; Mrs. John Daniel, raffle; Mrs. Joe Neighbors, decorating; Mrs. James Reinert, table; Mrs. D. B. Baker, advertising, and Mrs. John Hellyer, reservations.
