W. J. Vetter Gets 30-Yr. Service Pin W. J. Vetter of 600 E. Santa Ana street, this city, was among several employees of Tide Water Associated Oil Company receiving diamond studded pins for thirty years of faithful work with the company. He was presented his pin last Monday. Starting work with the company on November 11, 1919, he has been continuously associated with the southern California division and has maintained his home in this city during these thirty years. Following is part of the letter from William F. Humphrey, president of Tide Water Associated Oil company, San Francisco, commending Mr. Vetter upon his excellent record as an employee with his firm: "It affords me distinct pleasure to present to you through the medium of this letter, the enclosed service emblem, symbolizing your thirty years of service with the Tide Water Associated Oil Company. In offering you sincere congratulations, I am joined by the Officers and Directors of the Company. "The quality of selflessness which has consistently characterized your long service with the Company is worthy of the highest praise. The present high position occupied by the Tide Water Associated Oil Company in the Oil Industry has been attained, to a not inconsiderable extent, by the aid of cooperative efforts such as yours." "The Company uses this emblem to symbolize its recognition of service faithfully performed over a long period of time. It is conferred upon those whose unwerving allegiance has proven their pride in the Company, and signifies the pride which the Company has in them to all who may observe it. Emblematic of your thirty years of service, an additional diamond has been added to this emblem, and my earnest hope is that it will attract to its wearer, and to the Company of which it is a symbol, an honor commensurate with the loyalty for which it was conferred." Sarah Vroman Mourned By Local Kin Sarah Margaret Vroman, 52, a native of Ohio and a resident of Klamath Falls, Oregon, died Wednesday, February 22, at an Orange Rest Home, after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her husband, Orris G. Vroman of Klamath Falls; one son, Ronald H. Thompson of Santa Ana; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Nelson of Medford, Oregon, and Mrs. Beatrice Welsh of Anaheim; one brother, Albert A. Henry of Sacramento and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday, February 27, from the Conger Morris Funeral Home, Medford, Oregon, with interment in Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. Hilgenfeld Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
