Beneke of 535 South Helena street, Anaheim, will wed Bud Strong, son of Mrs. Clark Strong, 754 North Philadelphia street, Anaheim, on Friday, February 10 at 8 p.m. in the wedding chapel of Capilla de San Antonio. Mrs. Strong entertained for Miss Beneke at a kitchen cupboard shower and a miscellaneous shower was tendered the bride by Mrs. Lee Palm and Mrs. Beverly Wallace. Mrs. Stockwell’s Pupils Practicing Mrs. Betty Stockwell's pupils held their monthly "repertoire party" on February 4 at Mrs. Stockwell's home, 206 Kroeger, Anaheim. Dr. Harold C. Case, pastor of the First Methodist church of Pasadena, was the guest speaker. The title of his talk was "What of the Next 27 Years?" Dinner was served by boys and girls of the "Y" program under the direction of Mrs.R. Young and Mrs.C.Bush. 20-30 Week-End At Big Bear At the weekly 20-30 club meeting held on Tuesday evening, presided over by president Wilton Collier, plans were discussed for the chartering of Buena Park into the 20-30 group. Last week-end the annual mountain party was held at Big Bear with 25 members and guests in attendance. Guests at the meeting were: Russ Ward, Bill Wallace, Steve Groover, Clarence Gwyn, past-active Al Mittman and Garden Grove 20-30 president, Tony Anton. A sumptuous steak dinner was served at 6:30 p.m. with members of DeMolay serving. Valentines with garlands of greenery was used as the theme of table decoration. Presiding during the dinner was Fred Lee, newly installed High Priest of Royal Arch Masons. Following the dinner, guests enjoyed the balance of the evening playing canasta and "500." Ladies preparing and serving the dinner were Mrs.Fred Lee, Mrs.Warren Hodges, Mrs. Emory Simon and Mrs.Ted Bourne. BPWC Hoars "Cuba" Morris The Business and Professional Women's Club met at Mother's Kitchen on Wednesday evening with husbands, brothers and escorts as guests. The Health and Safety committee, president of the Anaheim Ebell club. The response will come from Mrs.W.L.Harbert, vice-president of the Orange County Federation of Women's Clubs. The business of the day will be the reports of chairmen after which Maurice Gerard, dean of men at Santa Ana Junior college will speak on "Education in a Changing World." Luncheon will be served at the Anaheim Ebell clubhouse after which the meeting will continue with music being furnished by the Anaheim Union high school string ensemble. The afternoon speaker will be Mrs. Arthur Crom, state president of the Junior club-women. The Health and Safety committee Monday evening the Anaheim Public Forum will present Stan Midgley with a color motion picture entitled "Two Wheels Across Montana." Mr. Midgley has had a versatile career, having prepared at Princeton for a chemical future, but finding that too dull turned to writing. The latter led to his career as a narrator and camera enthusiast. His pictures of colorful Montana include shots of Yellowstone, Hole-in-the-Wall Basin, the Bear-tooth range of mountains, Glacier Park and first from the mountain streams. In addition to this, Mr. Midgley's shots of the 1950 Tournament of Roses will be shown. The film was taken while Mr. Midgley was on a bicycle tour of that state, and as usual, there is a laugh around every turn. The film is spectacular all the way and is of great educational value. Marywood Grads Dance Fri. Eve Marywood alumnae of Anaheim, classes from 1936 through 1949, will gather for a dance at the Marywood social hall, 407 West Broadway, on Friday evening, February 10, from 8 to 11 p.m., to renew old friendships. Theme of the dance will be "Days of Lincoln." Joan Menges is general chairman of the dance and the refreshments are in charge of June Carter. Elvira Navarro is the head of the decoration committee. The invitation committee includes Evelyn Kraemer, Mary Louise Heinz, Mary Jean Lambert and Lucille LaPorte. BPWC Hoars "Cuba" Morris The Business and Professional Women's Club met at Mother's Kitchen on Wednesday evening with husbands, brothers and escorts as guests. The Health and Safety committee was in charge of the program and presented R. L. "Cuba" Morris as speaker of the evening. Mr. Morris is attached to the State Highway Patrol of California. Chief of Police and Mrs. Mark Stephenson were guests of honor and music was provided by Mrs. Edna Tikker. On February 23 all Business and Professional Women's clubs of Orange county will convene in the Elks Club for a combined meeting. Committees Named for Red Cross Work At the regular monthly meeting of Anaheim chapter of the American Red Cross, Mrs. E. H. Kersten, chairman, announced the committee appointments. The following are a list of the chairmen and their respective committees: volunteer services, Mrs. Floyd Peterson; blood program, Mrs. P. T. Nelson; home nursing, Mrs. A. P. M. Brown; Junior Red Cross, Mrs. A. H. Shipkey; motor corps, Mrs. V. W. Borden; nutritions, Mrs. Emory Simon; publicity, Mrs. Carrie L. Sutherland; fund campaign, Wilson W. Phelps; nurse enrollment, Mrs. John Meyers; auditing, Mrs. Albert Karlen and Mrs. P. H. Nelson; first aid, Hubert W. Ladig; home service, Mrs. D. Jerry Youngs; loan closet, Mrs. Mary J. Anderson; nurses aides, Mrs. Afton Reinert; production, Mrs. Robert P. Clark; water safety, Tex Middleton; staff aides, Mrs. Leo Sheridan; representatives of Orange county council, Mrs. Friis and Mrs. Reinert. Wilson W. Phelps, fund drive chairman, will announce the list of workers next week. The mobile blood unit will be in Anaheim on February 24 and are prepared to take care of a minimum of 75 donors. Home service reported 41 cases open during January of which ten were new cases. Service was given to 19 cases.
