Mr. Breckenridge is director of the Minnesota Museum of Natural History and is equally distinguished as a scientist and artist. His paintings and etchings of birds have appeared in many ornithological books. The colored film was presented at the Frances Willard Junior high school in Santa Ana. The Paul Bunyan country is the state of Minnesota, and is a state of rivers, lakes and forests, second-growth forests which are inhabited by many varieties of birds and animals. Mr. Breckenridge described the country north of Minneapolis as a "country of ten thousand lakes" where the great Mississippi has its source. He also spoke of Minnesota's lush summer and rugged winters—the state of contrasts. The next film in the Audubon series will be shown on March 7 by Howard Cleaves, entitled "Animals Unaware."
