With additional liberations to be made during the month of December, state crews have already surpassed last year's record annual release of 75,787 birds. The November release total of 18,010 upland game birds included 317 valley quail, 97 chukar partridges, and 25 wild turkeys. Lt. William Barnes Graduates at Naval School Lt. (ig) William F. Banes, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Barnes of 217 East Broadway, Anaheim, was graduated December 16, as a member of the second class of 500 officers at the Naval General Line School at Monterey, California. Formerly a Naval Reserve Officer, he transferred to the regular Navy and was sent to the school for further training. In this intensive ten months' course, which he has just completed, the Navy taught him a broad professional education comparable to that which a regular Navy officer receives at the Naval Academy before reporting to the fleet. Peart Services This Friday Funeral services for Eugene Peart, 58, 421 East Cypress street, who died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hilgenfeld chapel with the Rev. P. G. Neumann, former pastor of Bethel Baptist church, officiating. A native of Missouri, Mr. Peart came to California 20 years ago and had lived in Anaheim for the past 10 years. He was fatally stricken at the Harbor Oil Station, 617 East Center street, where he had walked from his home. He had complained of illness for several weeks but had appeared much improved. Surviving are his wife, Augusta K. Peart at the family home; one sister, Alice Peart of St. Louis, Missouri, and one brother, Bob Peart of Seattle, Washington. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of For- align Wars. Interment will be in Anaheim cemetery.
