CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
"Love" will be the Sunday Mass subject in all branches of The Mother Church, The Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. The The Golden Text is for II Corinthians: "Be perfect, be good comfort, be of one mind, in peace; and the God of love shall be with you."
In his letter to the Gallatin Paul says, "Brethren, if a man overtaken in a fault, ye which spiritual, restore such an one the spirit of meekness; consider thyself, lest thou also be tempest Bear ye one another's burden and so fulfill the law of Christ."
As we have therefore opportunity let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." "For all law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
In "Science and Health with Kaiser to the Scriptures" Mary Bailey Eddy writes, "When we realize there is one Mind, the divine Mind of loving our neighbor as ourselves is unfolded; whereas a belief many ruling minds hinders normal drift towards the One Mind, one God, and leads humankind thought into opposite channels where selfishness reigns."

"All are welcome at any service"
One way by which our lives may receive that dependable spiritual resourcefulness which enables us to live nobly is to observe the Sabbath pause in the week's occupation. Psychologists say that people who are religious and attend church have better personalities than those who do not. Hence, blessed is the man who keeps the Sabbath holy by resting from physical toil and by growing in spirit.
Why not accept the invitation and COME TO CHURCH NEXT SUNDAY?
—Rev. D. Carl Yoder.
Our Preacher Says
The smallest people suffer most from personal slights and affronts. They writhe because of insults real or imagined. There are people who stay away from church because someone didn't say quite the right thing, or perhaps because he said nothing at all. Long-standing grudges and feuds have their beginning in infinitesimal personalities. These small souls fume in high duggeon because the vote against them or because their opinion was disregarded. The person who is easily hurt betrays by that fact what a puny runt he is.—Gospel Herald.

CHURCH PLANS TO BUILD ON NEW SITE
Erection of a new Salem Evangelical-United Brethren church, tentatively planned by the local church came nearer to a realization with the purchase of a five-acre tract which recently went into escrow, according to the Rev. Philip Selfrideg, pastor.
Presently located at West Center and Helena streets, the church plans to re-locate on the five-acre grove at Citron and Sycamore streets bought for $18,000 from Herbert Grimm.
The proposed building program calls for the erection of a church edifice and off-street parking lot and the later addition of a parsonage and play ground facilities.
Also proposed is the subdivision of the part of the property not

Phil Kerr, internationally known radio artist, pianist, author composer and musical authority, will present a special music jubilee at the First Baptist church, Pomona and Wilshire avenues, Fullerton, Sunday afternoon, July 31, at 2:45 o'clock, according to an announcement by the Rev. "This young man who had captured the hearts of the entertainment world in Australia, New Zealand, North and South America, gave up a $1,000 a week career to play for his new found Lord and Savior. He will bring those present to their feet in applause with his thrilling technique on this instrument," said Rev. Hodson.
Marilyn Hall, whom he described as a consecrated Christian and a splendid soprano soloist, will be heard. She has won three scholarships and currently is studying advanced vocal technique. She has refused attractive offers from Hollywood in order to sing for her Master, the pastor added.
ARNIE HARTMAN

Speech Freedom Speakers' Topic
Freedom of speech was topic discussed in open forum by members of the Anaheim Toastmasters club Monday night at La Palma Grill, president Vic Huber presiding.
Lengthy controversy followed the table topic, "What Limitations, If Any, Should be Placed on Freedom of Speech?" as presented by Don Butka who also gave the invocation.
Patterson trophy honors went to Quenton Ressler for his remarks on "The Anaheim - Fullerton Feud." With his presentation of "What Sport," Aubrey Van Verst captured the Optimist trophy. Ed Wright discussed "Hobbies."
Grammarian and time keeper was Louis Taylor. Individual criticisms, Huber and Ressler, criticised Van Verst, who, in turn, criticised Wright. Taylor and Butka criticised Ressler.
Next week's program assignments will be mailed out. C. O. Garshwiler will present the club with a lecture.
