The scout service is expected to give wide publicity to the coming 1949 Orange County Fair, since a large portion of the circulars will be included in business mail. The event will be staged on the new fairgrounds located on former Santa Ana Army Air Base near Santa Ana, Aug. 18-21, inclusive. H. Clay Kellogg, president of the fair board and California's 32nd District Agricultural Association, sponsoring the event, stated that this was another example of the excellent cooperation being given the Orange County Fair by organizations and individuals throughout the county. Supervised by scout troop leaders, the work was done under the direction of Scout Executives J. W. Clements of Santa Ana in the Southern area of the county and by Lloyd Paxton of Anaheim of the Northern area.
