Slate Telephone Hour Broadcast
June repertoire of family music for the 1949-50 season on phone Hour broadcasts, each Monday night at 9 a.m. over NBC stations, was announced this week by R. J. Rossberg of The Pacific Telephone Telegraph Company, this week.
Lee Fairfax, young Art baritone, newcomer to the made his debut Monday, Fox's "Hills of Home" and selections.
On the remaining June casts Maggie Teyte, Gill Swarthout and Jascha will be guest soloists.
Miss Teyte, British soprano, sing, among other songs, Corter's "Begin the Beguine," the musical show, "Jubilee."
The internationally known zo-soprano, Miss Swarthout, be featured on the June 27 program. Her varied present will include the selection "Love," by Porter, from the show, "Kiss Me, Kate."
A favorite with musicians listeners, violinist Heifetz turn to broadcast June 27 repertoire will include De Hartmann's "The Girl With Flaxen Hair."
The 57-piece Bell Telephone chestra, conducted by Voorhees, will accompany tists as well as present musical arrangements.

A favorite with musicians and steners, violinist Heifetz will return to broadcast June 27. His pertoire will include Debussy-artmann's "The Girl With the Axen Hair."
The 57-piece Bell Telephone orchestra, conducted by Donald Dorrehees, will accompany the artists as well as present special musical arrangements.

Buffet tables were arranged with bouquets of yellow violas and sweet peas and hand crocheted and plastic nut cups in pastel tones.
First and second prizes in the game "Package" were won by Mrs. Wesley Gibson and Mrs. Joyce Blair, respectively. A jumbled name game was also played with Toni Nerdrum and Mrs. Mary Schluntz winning first and second awards.
Hilarity reigned as a bean guessing jar proved to contain one can of salmon. A guess of two beans netted prizes for Mrs. Mary Mason, mother of the honoree, and Mrs. Hazel Johnston.
Will Receive FUHS Diplomas
Four Fullerton Union high school students, residents of Anaheim, are candidates for high school diplomas to be awarded at the commencement ceremonies at Fullerton Union high school, according to a preliminary announcement made this week by Glenn L. Lewis, principal of that institution.
The graduation ceremonies at Fullerton high will be June 16, next Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the Fullerton stadium.
Candidates from this city are David Newel Christensen, Johanna Fisher, Robert L. Parker and Gloria Dee Wilmsen.
Sr. Ebell Club Seats Officers
Mrs. Arthur Roquet was installed president of the Senior Ebell Activities for Fremont Pupils
Highlighting the closing of the 1948-49 school year at Fremont Junior high school are two varied class activities for the graduates and a seventh grade class.
Today (Thursday) eighth grade class members left for an afternoon and evening beach party at the San Clemente Beach club. Approximately 135 students left on the trip this noon.
For having the most mothers present at the last Parent-Teachers meeting, held at Fremont recently, members of Class 7-M enjoyed a visit to Griffin Park and Planetarium yesterday (Wednesday).
Music-Drama To Highlight Program Friday
In a combined program Miss Ruth Phelps, dramatist, and Miss Marian Pickel, pianist, will be presented by the Presbyterian Flower Mission tomorrow (Friday) evening at 8 o'clock at the Ebell club house.
Miss Pickel, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Pickel of this city, received her master's degree in music at Redlands University in June, 1948.
For the benefit program she will present "Sonato-Op. 2, No. 3" by Beethoven. Passages in the composition include "Allegro con brio," "Adagio," "Allegro" and "Allegro assal."
Miss Phelps, former drama teacher at Anaheim Union high school, currently a faculty member at Tustin high school, will enact "A Bachelor's Christmas" by Robert Grant.

Leaves Today on
New York Trip
Mary Millerick, owner of the Mary Millerick Shop, 220 Eastenter street, is leaving today (hursday) on a month's trip to New York City.
Combining business with pleasure, she plans to enjoy the scenic trip to the east via the Santa Fe super Chief and to attend press enquiries and style previews presented by leading manufacturing houses specializing in smart feminine attore.
On her buying trip she plans to obtain the latest apparel for spring and for the coming fall season.
The well known Anaheim store owner boarded the Chief at noon day and, upon her arrival in the eastern metropolis, will reside at the Gotham hotel.

Elsie Spaulding was electedable grand of the Lois Rebekah age of this city Friday night at meeting of the order in the OF hall.
To serve with Mrs. Spaulding the Elsie Cailor, vice-grand; Berklee Reisinger, recording secretary; Elsie Borth, corresponding secretary; Hannah Horwitz, treasurer, and Lola Compton.
Meeting of the Lois Thimble club was announced for next Tuesday at the home of Tillie Kent in Silverado Canyon.

Honoree of a miscellaneous power was Miss Betty Tannahill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jason of East Broadway, Anaime, who was feted by Mrs. Carl empelman and Mrs. Nettie Jenns, both of 919 North Lowell Street, Santa Ana, last Thursday evening.
Wedding bells will ring June for the bride-elect, who will receive her Anaheim Union high school diploma this month and tuition.

Mrs. Arthur Roquet was installed president of the Senior Ebell club of Anaheim during impressive ceremonies Monday afternoon in the club house.
Presiding over the rites was Mrs. L. L. Williams, president of the Orange County Federation of Women's clubs, who greeted those present at the annual affair.
Other officers seated with Mrs. Roquet include Mrs. Milton Spencer, first vice-president; Mrs. W. E. Whiteman, second vice-president; Mrs. Kenneth Hellyer, recording secretary; Mrs. H. P. Tobin, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Herbert Deane, treasurer; Mrs. Homer Wallace, financial secretary; Mrs. H. J. Fackiner, curator; Mrs. E. C. Kendrick, auditor; Mrs. Richard Glover, parliamentarian, and Mrs. Wilbert Bonney, retiring president, and Mesdames John Wilson, A. E. Schumacher, M. A. Gauer, L. M. Pickel and Joe Van Wagoner, directors.
Vocal entertainment was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lewerenz of this city, both active in the Presbyterian church where he is minister of music.
Luncheon hour speaker was Dick Heffern, executive secretary of the Employers Industrial Relations council, who described the methods by which problems were handled between the unions and the council.

Enjoy Parties
A camp rally party and a square dance social were enjoyed by Y-Teen groups of Anaheim high school and Fremont Junior high school this week.
Forty-five Y-Teeners joined other southern Orange county Y-Teen clubs for a camp rally and beach picnic at Huntington Beach yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Camp skits, group singing and dinner on the beach were also enjoyed by adults present from this city including Mr. and Mrs. Warren Ashleigh, Mrs. A. Dayton Smith and Betty Delaney, girls' work director.
The Freshmen Y-Teen group,

Proceeds of this program will go to swell the Presbyterian church's building fund.

Accenting the archway to the dining room in the Santa Ana home were white and yellow dreamers centered with a large white wedding bell. A large white umbrella, edged in yellow and white crepe paper sheltered many school this week.
