SPORTS City Rifle Range Work Party Set For Next Sunday Rifle enthusiasts are urged to attend another work day at the range in the industrial track, Sunday, June 19, following the work session slated for tonight (Thursday) by members of the Associated Rifle Shooters. The group of riflemen met Monday evening under the direction of Maj. Ralph Comstock at the high school armory to launch plans for the work sessions. Chas. Watters was appointed as construction supervisor for the large city range. The volunteer sportsmen tonight will speed completion of the 50 yard range which will be used for twilight shooting, using Coleman lanterns for illumination. Refreshments will be served during both sessions by wives and friends of the workers, it was announced. The 11-year-old was hit, while riding his bicycle, by a cab driven by James Phillips of 828 North Van Ness avenue, Santa Ana, Saturday of last week. The accident occurred as the boy was crossing Manchester boulevard at Walnut street, this city. The youngster lived with his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred J.
