Those singing in the Mozart choir were: Marilyn Daigle, Joan Foster, Bonine Freeze, Ruth Martins, Frances Rhoads, Lorraine Sehr, Joan Spencer and Mary Volz. Mr. Swadburg accompanied this group. They sang as their numbers "Bless This House," "Now the Day Is Over," and "Through the Years." The Boys' quartet consisting of Bill Wyatt, Duane Duncan, Carl Hatfield, Milton Peters, and Norman Bentley, sang "De Gospel Train." Norman Bentley, tenor soloist, sang "It's a Wonderful World." Next the Music Department presented a girls trio. Singing in this group were: Marilyn Daigle, Lorraine Sehr, and June Johnson. Their accompanist was Carolyn Cone. As a final number the combined groups sang "Now Is the Hour." Jackie Whiteman New President of High School Music Unites Rate High In the finals of the Fullerton Music Festival on April 21, the Anaheim high school string ensemble received a Division I rating, the orchestra Division II, and the band a Division II in music and a Division I in sight reading. In the preliminaries, held in Anaheim March 26, the band and orchestra received a Division I rating which is the highest. Receiving a superior rating last year, the string ensemble was not compelled to tryout in the preliminaries. In the finals they again have kept the ever high rating of superior. The members of the string ensemble are piano, Donna Thomas; violin, Carol Hoculli; Elaine Newton, Genieve Bradley and Philip Taylor, cello; Robert Simon, Jane Roberts and Craig Bottger at the string bass.
